Our drive and eat this month took us to Smolan to an always fantastic barbecue buffet, the weather was perfect, and the company enjoyable, thanks to Kevin and Paula for the ride. For the rest of the club functions, it seems Mother Nature feels we all have dusty cars that need to be rinsed off. The All-Wheels-Day at Lake Afton turned out to be a wet one causing several cars to leave earlier then normal. On fathers day at the zoo we almost made it to the end before the rain came and Officer at Large Linn Smith N.C.C.C. Don t forget, our July meeting will be one week later because of the 4th of July holiday and it is our annual Ice Cream Social. So, get those ice cream freezers fired up or the ovens heated for we all can use a good sugar fix. There was no sign up sheet so whatever shows up we will be happy to partake. 2 July, 2007 Volume 40 - Issue 7 Minutes from the June 6, 2007 ACCC Meeting The meeting was held at Don Hattan Chevrolet. Monte called the meeting to order. The motion was made and passed to accept the minutes as printed. Guests Keith and Margaret Wilkinson and also Rick Alexander and his father-in-law Dave Clark were introduced. New member Linda Tilman was welcomed. Vice President Greg Esping reported we have 61 paid members. Kevin and Cheryl Lundberg donated several items for door prizes as they are moving to Kansas City next week. Treasurer Jack Crossman reported savings has $ and $ in checking. He has three checks to put in and one to write for the Anniversary Banner. Officer at Large Lin Smith reported the points standings: 1st Battaglears, 2nd Espings, 3rd Mehls, 4th Michaels, 5th Rans. Secretary Marsha Battaglear not present. Kent called Marsha in Arizona asked her if she wanted to do the notes by teleconference, she declined very nicely; she had the notes covered. NCCC Governor Gary Jones reported on information on several upcoming events in Kansas and Oklahoma. See him for more information. Newsletter Kent Michael asked that if anyone goes to Corvette events to please send pictures. He is running low on ones for the newsletter, so let s send him some pictures. Old Business 40th Anniversary Matt Eck is giving the club a room in the basement at the real estate office at no charge. Discussion was held on what the club could do for him since this saved the club money. Was moved by Jack Crossman 2nd by Chris Rans that we give him a $50 gift certificate for a restaurant, motion was passed. Abilene trip is set for Sept. 8. Will need head count for Brookfield and will need to arrive early for the train. Jean McGrew sent Thanks to the club for their support during Ken s funeral. Mike McKee is getting another T-shirt order together. He needs 12 to put the order in and has six so far. Contact him if you would like to order one, cost is $10. New Business Ron and Judy Britt have invited the club to their 50th Wedding Anniversary Open House Saturday June pm Calvin Hall, First Presbyterian church 1400 N Cedar Abilene, Ks. Kevin Mansfield has inner fenders for a C4 anyone wants them they can have them. Chris Rans won the 50/50 pot. Terry House won the door prize. The meeting was adjourned. The Meeting/ Ice-Cream Social will be held at the Sim Park Shelter House. You will need to enter on Sim Park Drive from the Art Museum past Cow Town or on the road past Botanica to Sim Park Drive to Murdock. Sim Park Drive is closed through the Golf Course. Road Closed Sim Park Shelter House You will need to bring Ice Cream or another treat or topping. If you can t bring anything, don t worry about it. We should have more than enough there. 5 Volume 40 - Issue 7 July, 2007 Minutes for June 20, 2007 ACCC E-Board Meeting Monte called the brief meeting to order at Don Hattan Chevrolet. He spoke to Jack about how the Anniversary funding should be handled. Vice President Greg Esping was not in attendance. Treasurer Jack Crossman reported $ in checking and $ in savings. Secretary Marsha Battaglear had nothing to report. Officer at Large Lin Smith reported the points. 1st Battaglears, 2nd Corbins, 3rd Espings, 4th Mehls, and 5th Crossmans. NCCC Governor Gary Jones presented the Corporation Annual Report. Some glitches were discussed concerning the address and the problem was resolved. The report is ready for submission. Newsletter Kent Michael had no report. Old Business There was brief discussion on the Anniversary celebration. Matt shared the registration folder (which is Dyn-o-mite! Thanks Matt). New Business A representative from Exploration Place has asked to make a pitch to have us host a mini car show there. We briefly considered having the social there but decided the area was not suitable for our needs. We agreed to invite her to the August meeting. We then discussed alternate locations for the Ice Cream Social. A phone call was made to Betty Henderson who graciously agreed to make the same arrangements as last year. Thanks Betty! 9 Wichita, Kansas Membership Application Regular membership dues for A.C.C.C. are $50.00 per year for new members and $45.00 per year for renewals. Membership dues include A.C.C.C. spouse membership and one National Council of Corvette Clubs (N.C.C.C.) membership. Associate membership, designed for the non-corvette owner, is $25.00 per year for new members and $20.00 per year for renewals. Associate membership does not include spouse or N.C.C.C. membership. A.C.C.C. requires all members to be at least 18 years of age and hold a current valid driver's license.
