PRACTICE SCHEDULE All practices will be held at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport wherever possible and as required by playing regulations. Each session will be supervised by tournament volunteers with strict adherence to start and stop times. The clock located in the north east corner of the main gym will be used to dictate the schedule. Each team will be allocated their own team room beginning Tuesday, March 6 th for the duration of the championship. * The scheduling of practices will be dependent upon team arrivals. Teams will be contacted with this schedule prior to their arrival. Tuesday, March 6 th 8:30-20:30 Practice times available upon request (1 hour 30 minute sessions). The scheduling of practices on Tuesday will be dependent upon team arrivals and will be scheduled based on availability and request. Please complete the attached Championship Team Information Form for your requests and send it to megan.jalbert@uregina.ca. Practices may occur simultaneously in the Main Gym and Gym 2. However, the FLC will close one hour prior to the first scheduled game on all competition days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Gymnasium doors will be locked during practice times, but there may be some tournament set-up activities around the court.

Please note that this meeting is mandatory for teams competing in the semi-finals to attend on Friday evening. 7. MEDIA CONFERENCE & ACCREDITATION 7.1 MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Coaches and athletes are asked to be available for media after practice times on Tuesday March 6 th and Wednesday March 7 th. 7.2 MEDIA ACCREDITATION: Media Accreditation applications will be accepted until 12:00pm Monday March 5 th. CHAMPIONSHIP HOTEL U SPORTS policy : All participating teams and team personnel attending the U Sports Championship requiring accommodation must stay at the U Sports Championship designated host hotel (provided that space is available). Anyone that chooses not to stay at the

8 National Championship designated host hotel forfeits their right to receive $2500 from the host. Regretfully, this cannot be guaranteed. If your rooms are not yet available when you arrive, they will be happy to store your luggage until these come available for check-in. Room listings are due by Monday March 5, Team Room Block: $ taxes and 3% Promote Regina Fee 2 Queen Beds 80 guest rooms have been set aside for competing teams (7 visiting teams in total, rooms per team). Please quote Block CGTT18 when making reservations for your team. Please note this special team rate will only be extended to the students and team coach. It does not apply to families or fans associated with the team. Delegate Room Block: $ taxes and 3% Promote Regina Fee 35 guest rooms have been set aside for U Sports delegates, media, and non-participating coaches as per the room rate listed above. Among these 35 guest rooms, 20 rooms with two queen beds and 15 rooms with one King Bed and a pull-out couch have been reserved. Please note this special group rate will only be extended to confirmed delegates. It does not apply to families or fans associated with the team. Please quote Block CGDD18 when making reservations for delegates. Fan Room Block: $ taxes and 3% Promote Regina Fee 30 guest rooms have been set aside for visiting families and fans at the group rate stated above.

TEAM TRANSPORTATION Team Transportation: Teams will be responsible for their own transportation (flights and ground transportation in Regina). The following operators have kiosks at the Regina Airport. Please note that Enterprise is a U Sports Preferred Rental Service Sponsor: Avis: Budget: Enterprise: Hertz: National: Thrifty: Other Transportation Shuttle service between the Travelodge and the CKHS during the event will be provided to all VIP s, non-participating coaches, and other U Sports delegates, free of charge. Shuttles will leave the Travelodge every 15 minutes for an hour prior to each game time and upon subsequent need. Shuttles will depart from the CKHS for return every 15 minutes for one hour after each game time and upon subsequent need. Ground transportation will also be provided to all U Sports officials. TEAM REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION Participating Teams Please complete the attached form 2018 WBB Championship Team Information Form Accreditation will be provided to the team representative upon arrival at the Travelodge hotel. Each participating team will receive 20 accreditation passes (maximum team compliment) Any additional accreditation passes must be requested in advance of the championship and will cost $50/accreditation. 12 12. TECHNICAL INFORMATION 12.1 FACILITIES: Centre for Kinesiology, Health and Sport (CKHS) Gym 3 Main Court dimensions: Standard 50 ft. x 94 ft. Lighting: 1000 Watt Metal Halide Scoreboard: Nevco Wireless Floor: Maple Hardwood Seating Capacity: 2000 Team Rooms: Eight (8) - Each participating team will be assigned their own team room. Each team will receive four (4) parking passes for their vehicles. On competition days, parking will be available in Lots 6, 7 and 8 for spectators, starting one hour prior to the first scheduled game on each day EQUIPMENT: Game ball: Wilson Evolution, Size 6 ball 12.3 THERAPY / MEDICAL SERVICES: The following information will clarify the medical and therapy services available during your stay at the University of Regina. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Nicole Renneberg, the University of Regina s Head Therapist for Cougar and Rams Athletics. Services Provided The host therapist/student therapist will discuss the appropriate emergency action protocol with the visiting medical staff prior to competition time. If you do not have a dedicated medical representative travelling with your team, please notify us by 12:00pm on Monday March 5 th. You will be billed $100 per day, regardless of whether medical services are utilized or not. All supplies must be provided by the visiting team or a charge back of supplies used will apply. Emergency transportation will be arranged through Ambulance. Nonemergency transport will be the responsibility of the visiting team. All athletes must travel with provincial health card information and emergency contact information. Alliance Health Centre Alliance Health Centre is located in Room 225 in the Centre for Kinesiology, Health, and Sport.

13 Services available at Alliance Health Centre include non-urgent physician services, athletic therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage therapy. The clinic staff may be available for athletes requiring therapy services during regular clinic hours. Please contact the Head Therapist to make arrangements prior to your arrival. Other services must be arranged through the reception staff at Alliance Health Centre. The athlete/team will be billed on a fee for service basis. Appropriate referral is beneficial. Emergency Equipment The host therapist will review the emergency supplies available and their location prior to the competition. (AED, splints, spine board & accessories, crutches, treatment table, etc) Ice, ice bags and water will be available to all visiting teams Training Room A hydrotherapy room is available for use during all events held at the CKHS (Room #159). The host therapist will identify the first aid room for visiting teams. An ice machine, taping/treatment table, and two whirlpool tubs will be available for use at the CKHS. Towels are available from the equipment room (contact event staff) Clinic Located in Room 175 in the CKHS The clinic is available to licensed/certified professionals traveling with a team. Please contact the Head Athletic Therapist to make arrangements prior to your arrival. Teams travelling without a licensed/certified therapist will be granted access to obtain treatment from the University of Regina Therapists on a fee for service basis. Athletes with pre-existing injuries requesting treatment must submit a treatment plan that is clearly outlined by their respective school s medical staff prior to the start of the tournament. There will be a charge of $40 per clinical visit. Appointments can be pre-booked by ing athletic.therapy@uregina.ca. The clinic is equipped with 7 treatment tables, 3 combo/modality machines, 1 Game Ready unit, 2 NMES units, and various rehabilitation tools. Injury Communication Host medical staff will complete an injury report form for any injured athlete reviewed at the competition.

14 Hospitals Emergency situations such as suspected spinal or head injury or severe fracture, etc. Will be handled by contacting EMS. Emergency transportation will be arranged through Emergency Ambulance Services. Non-emergency transport will be the responsibility of the visiting team. The University of Regina will not be responsible for any charges associated with emergency transportation. 16 13. HOSPITALITY ROOMS 13.1 VIPs/COACHES : A VIP Lounge will be made available for VIPs and coaches throughout the Championship. It will be located in CKHS on the upper track of the Main Gym. 17 14. COMMUNITY ADOPT-A-TEAM PROGRAM One of 8 local basketball teams are adopting your U Sports team for the weekend of the nationals. The host committee wants to make sure you have some local fans in the stands and that you get a warm Regina welcome to the competition. You can count on your host team to think of some fun and enthusiastic ideas to cheer your team on. If you would like to bring team t-shirts/paraphernalia/team noise makers, etc. to give to your host team they will be most appreciative. There are approximately 15 players on each team.
