5 The participating universities must complete and return Appendix A to Marie-Claude Fréchette. All-Canadian nominees and major prize finalists who aren t participating in the Championship will have access to a free U SPORTS Banquet ticket. Guests of these athletes can obtain tickets for the banquet at a cost of $90. Nominees must complete and return Appendix B to Marie-Claude Fréchette. Tickets will be available for visiting university coaches at a cost of $90. They must complete and return Appendix C to Marie-Claude Fréchette. MEDIA PRESS CONFERENCE & ACCREDITATION PRESS CONFERENCE: PRE-CHAMPIONSHIP PRESS CONFERENCE (without team representatives) * At this press conference, we will announce the championship draw to our local media. U SPORTS will send its press release to national media at the same time. CHAMPIONSHIP HOTEL U SPORTS policy : All participating teams and team personnel attending a U SPORTS Championship requiring accommodation must stay at the U SPORTS Championship designated host hotel. 7 9. CAR RENTAL A shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the airport for U SPORTS dignitaries, nonparticipating coaches and All-Canadian nominees. To benefit from this service, you must complete and return appendix D to : martinb27@videotron.ca. Each team will receive 20 accreditations. For all additional inquiries, including Sports directors and rectors, please send your request to Martin Bédard (martinb27@videotron.ca) by Monday, March 12, 2018 at 12:00 pm EST. Accreditation will be given to visiting university coaches, non-participating athletes nominated for U SPORTS major prizes and All-canadian teams, Athletics directors and rectors of other universities. 9 12.2 EQUIPMENT : Game Ball: Mikasa MVA 200 Net: Spieth-Anderson no guy cable appropriate padding Video: Teams are responsible to bring their system THERAPY / MEDICAL SERVICES : The Rouge et Or physiotherapy clinic is located in room of the PEPS de l Université Laval. A satellite clinic will also be available for your team's use (room 00914). Rouge et Or Physiotherapy clinic The clinic (room 00904) will be available for visiting team certified therapists to treat their athletes upon arrival and throughout the duration of the tournament. Teams traveling without a certified therapist will be granted access to the clinic based on pre-booked appointment times only. Regular treatment fees apply. The clinic is equipped with 5 treatment tables, 2 combo modality machines, an ice machine and hydrocollator as well as various rehabilitation tools. A certified physiotherapist will be in the Clinic on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1pm to 9pm. On Friday the physiotherapist will be in the clinic from 10am to 5pm. Arrangements can be made for certified therapists to access the clinic or to make an appointment for treatments during the weekend. The satellite clinic The satellite clinic will also be equipped with 1 treatment table, 2 taping tables, ice and ice bags. Please feel free to use this as your training/taping room. Medical coverage Our host medical staff (student therapists and physiotherapist) will be on site during the championship. A physician will be on-call. Emergency appointments with our on-campus sports medicine physician are available if required. Appointments have to be made through the physiotherapist. The attending medical staff personnel will introduce themselves prior to each event, and will be able to assist you with any needs prior, during or following your event. Practices - a host student therapist will be present on site to assist with any medical inquiries or emergency procedures that may be required for official practices. On Wednesday, the physiotherapist will come by to meet the visiting team's medical staff and coaches. Games - a certified physiotherapist will be by the court during all games and he or she will be in charge of the Emergency Action Protocol. The attached Emergency Action Protocol will provide you with directions and information for local hospitals and clinics.

10 The athletes in need of emergency transportation to a hospital will be directed to the CHUL. Please refer to the map included in this document. Arrangements will be made with the Emergency and Orthopedic department of this hospital. If your team plans to travel without any medical staff, let us know at least a week prior to the event. By doing so, we will be in a better position to fill your needs. Fees will apply if your team requires specific medical coverage from our staff.
