PRACTICE SCHEDULE All practices will be held at the Mattamy Athletic Centre or Kerr Hall, as required by playing regulations. The schedule will be sent out the night before to each Head Coach. Each team will be allocated their own team room beginning Wednesday, March 6 th for the duration of the Championship. *The scheduling of practices on Tuesday will be dependent upon team arrivals and will be scheduled based on availability and request. CHAMPIONSHIP HOTELS 8.1 TEAM HOTEL: All participating teams and team personnel attending a U SPORTS Championship requiring accommodation must stay at the U SPORTS Championship designated host hotel. 10 Bus Drop-off and Parking: All drop-offs and pick-ups can be done at the front of the Mattamy Athletic Centre, 50 Carlton Street. The City of Toronto has identified 75 parking spaces exclusively for use by buses in the downtown core which are allowed to park for durations from 1hr to a maximum of 24hrs. The designated area for buses dropping teams off at the Mattamy Athletic Centre is the Portlands Area. *Directions to Portlands Area: East on Carlton St. Right on Jarvis St. Left on Lakeshore Blvd E. Right towards Cherry St. Left onto Villiers S. Left on Munition Street (parking on left). 11 11. SPONSORSHIP 11.1 Please support our U SPORTS sponsors. We encourage hosts and participating teams to help grow these important partnerships. 12. 12 All games will be recorded and upload to Synergy. Teams should bring a large capacity hard drive (not a USB) if they would like to receive game film immediately following their game. Game film will be transferred to teams hard drives in the media section at the top of W5 on the West concourse. Teams should drop off their hard drives 20 minutes before the start of their game and expect to pick it up 20 minutes following their game THERAPY / MEDICAL SERVICES: Ryerson Athletics will provide on-site Athletic Therapy (AT) service for all games and official practices, as well as an on-call Physician for the duration of the championship. Participating teams and athletes will have access to Ryerson s therapy clinic for treatment purposes only (must be accompanied by team s therapist). This should be coordinated through team hosts and/or the Ryerson AT staff. Therapy contact: Jerome Camacho at jerome.camacho@ryerson.ca (Ext. 6125) Specific therapy information, available equipment and emergency action plan will be provided on-site UNIFORM/TOWELS & LAUNDRY SERVICE: Laundry service for playing uniforms will be provided to participating teams. Teams will be left on their own for personal laundry. Please visit the box office website for more information: HOSPITALITY ROOMS 13.1 VIPs/COACHES: A VIP Lounge will be made available for VIPs and coaches throughout the Championship. It will be located in the Alumni Lounge on the concourse level of the Main Bowl. 14. NATIVE WOMEN S RESOURCE CENTRE 14.1 In an effort to support our local communities and Ryerson's commitment to sustainability, all undistributed items from the tournament, such as snacks, t-shirts, etc. will be given to the Native Women s Resource Centre (nwrct.ca). We are also gladly accepting any individual or team contributions to this donation. If you are interested in making a donation, suggested items are lightly-used clothing, hair ties and accessories, diapers, and women's personal hygiene items. 15. SISTER TEAM PROGRAMS One of eight local basketball teams will be your cheering squad for the duration of your stay in Toronto. You can count on your sister team to be part of your on-court introduction and sit behind your bench to cheer you on. Please bring 15 t-shirts that your sister team can wear during your games. Feel free to also bring other fun swag that they will enjoy.
