The horn will sound 15 second prior to the end of a timeout. Nine (9) media timeouts (2:15) will be taken at the first dead ball following the 16:00, 12:00, 8:00 and 4:00 minute marks of each half. The ninth will be taken at the first coach called 30-second timeout of the second half. For each overtime period, a team will carry over their timeouts from regulation, and will also receive one extra 30-second timeout per each OT. 6 General Information Credentials: The visiting team will be provided with 20 bench credentials for the official travel party. It is required that all visiting team coaches, staff, non-uniformed players, and managers wear their credentials at all times on game day at PNC Arena or Reynolds Coliseum. Game Film: NC State will be filming all games and will provide a DVD copy of each game to the visiting team. Space will still be provided for schools wishing to film their own games. For those schools using editing software, fire-wire ports from the NC State video feed will be available for live capture. National Anthem Protocol: Per ACC policy, each institution must follow the protocol listed below for all men s basketball games (conference and non conference). The national anthem will be played when there is 0:00 showing on the game clock. When the horn sounds at 0:00, all players AND all coaches will line up directly in front of their bench and face the flag. The PA Announcer will introduce the anthem by reading the script provided by the Conference Office. Introductions and starting line-ups will immediately follow the playing of the anthem. Normal game procedures will follow. *Please Note: The National Anthem Timing Protocol is subject to change based on the TV production company. Team Bench Policy: Per ACC policy, a maximum of 20 chairs will be placed on the visiting team bench. Due to fire code restrictions, it will not be possible to set up any additional chairs at the end or behind the team bench area. Any additional coaches, staff, or managers that are unable to sit on the team bench must be issued a ticket from the visiting team allotment to sit in the stands. 5

7 General Information Timeout Policy: Every home game will be covered by the media. The timeout schedule is as followed: Media Timeouts: Timeouts will occur AFTER the 16-, 12-, 8-, and 4- minutes marks in each half. Coach/Player Timeouts: One 60- second (First called by either team in second half becomes a full media), and Four 30- seconds, with only three carrying over into the second half. Overtime Timeouts: Each team receives one additional 30- second timeout per overtime period. Unused timeouts from the second half, or either overtime periods, may be carried over. When a foul is committed within the time for a media timeout, causing a dead ball and free throws are to be awarded, the media timeout shall be taken followed by the free throws. 6

9 PNC Arena Game Tickets: Complimentary tickets will be provided for the visiting team in accordance with the game agreement and ACC policy. These tickets will be available for pick-up at the Player Guest Will Call 60 minutes prior to tipoff for non-conference games and 90 minutes prior to tip-off for conference games. The Player Guest Will Call is located at the VIP Entrance on the South side of the PNC Arena. Please send your completed pass list to Kyle Koch, Director of Ticket Operations, by ing it to him at or by faxing it to him at Media Room/Postgame Interviews: The media room and postgame interviews will be located on the lower level of the PNC Arena. Media guides, games notes, and rosters will be available prior to each game. Box scores will be brought to the media room at half-time and at the end of each game. The coach of the visiting team will go to the media room following a 10-minute cooling off period following each contest. The home coach will follow the visiting team coach. Dwayne Harrison, Associate Media Relations Director, will poll the media near the end of each game for requested NC State players at post-game interviews. Team Entrance: The Visiting Team Entrance is located through the loading dock on the North side of the PNC Arena. There will be a space marked off indicating where the team bus can park in the loading dock area. Adverse Weather Policy If it becomes necessary to evacuate PNC Arena, the incident commander on site will provide further instructions on where both teams and the officials will report. Emergency Information For Fans If a situation arises which requires the evacuation of PNC Arena, we request your cooperation and assistance to exit the arena in an orderly manner. Once an evacuation announcement has been given, please proceed to the nearest stairway or exit. Once outside the arena, please follow the directions of the event staff and do not attempt to re-enter the building. Please listen to MIX for further game information. 8

I hope your visit will be enjoyable. The following information should help you in preparation for your visit. If you require any additional information or need to make special arrangements, please contact me prior to your arrival. Both the Dail Basketball Complex and the PNC Arena will serve as your practice and game venues. The athletic training room in the Dail Complex is located in the adjacent building, the Weisiger-Brown Athletics Facility. The athletic training room in the PNC Arena is located on the bottom level. Both athletic training rooms are equipped with the following: Hydrocollator Unit Electrical Stimulation Units Hot/Cold Whirlpools Ultrasound Units Compression Unit Biohazard Supplies Emergency Equipment (AED, Splints, Crutches) Cardiovascular Equipment (Stationary Bike, Elliptical, Stairmaster) The athletic training room will open one hour prior to practices and shooting sessions and two hours prior to competition. A member of our sports medicine staff will be available to assist you during your practice and shooting sessions. A Team Physician and Certified Athletic Trainer will be present during all games and will be happy to assist you and your team if needed.
