General infrmatin The directinal valves WN 1 r WH 1(2 and 3) type (acc. t D 7470 A/1) are munted n sub-plates. These valve banks are laterally arranged between a cnnectin blck and an end plate, all held tgether and hydraulically cnnected via a tie rd. The cnnectin blck, with inlet fr pressurised il and utlet fr the return, is available in differing versins: With/withut pressure limiting valve r as an adapter t munt the valve bank n hydraulic pwer units. The galleries fr pressurised il and return run thrugh all sub-plates and cnnect the munted valves in parallel. The valves are cunted starting frm the cnnectin blck. In such cases, use pressure cmpensated valves type WH 1. Pressure increase due t pump after-running (when the mtr has been switched ff) can cause similar effects if the BWN valve bank is directly munted and an simultaneusly energised idle circulatin valve is missing. In this case WH 1.. shuld be used als. Accumulatrs (e.g. sect. 5.5) als prevent pressure increases. Directinal valves with additinal return pressure stp: When several valves are perating in parallel, an return pressure stp is D1; F1 H1 A1; P1 M1 O1; I1 N1 Y1; J1 R1 U1; L1 S1 V1 T1 required smetimes. It prevents pressure surges ut f the cmmn return pipe frm entering unperated, unladed r easily mving cnsumers, whenever there is a cnnectin AdR, thus preventing uncntrlled mvements. These check valves are unsuitable t blck pressurized fluid, which might be apparent at R, depending n the peratin sequence with ther valves.
