2 News Tennis U13 AIC Tennis Trials / Junior Singles Championships On Saturday the 15 th of June, the Junior Singles Tennis Championships will be held at the College. These championships will form part of the selection process for U13 Tennis for the AIC season. It will be compulsory for all U13 players wishing to play tennis for the College in 2013 to compete on this day. The tournament will run from 8:00am 1:00pm at the college tennis facility. In preparation for this tournament there will be training for all U13 Tennis players on Tuesday 11 th and Thursday 13 th of June from 3:30 5:00pm. Parent & Son Tennis Tournament To complete an action-packed weekend of tennis, there is a Parent & Son tennis tournament scheduled for Sunday the 16 th of June. Details of the tournament can be found below: Times: Venue: Cost: Format: 8:00am 1:00pm College Tennis Facility $20 per team. Pay on the day. - Knock-Out competition with a plate draw if a large number of teams are entered - Round Robin format if a small number of teams are entered Sausage sizzle and drinks will be included with prizes to be won! All interested teams are to register directly to Allan Say by . allan@proamtennis.com.au Entries will close Thursday the 13 th June.

Liam Brown who won a Bronze medal for Queensland in his division of the Australian National Judo Competition on the weekend. 5 Marist College Ashgrove Tennis Clinics 4 th and 5 th July, In the June/July holidays this year, the College is offering a tennis clinic for boys in Years 8 12 in order to help to prepare them for the AIC Tennis season that spans Terms 3 and 4. The clinic will not form part of the trial process and will NOT be compulsory, however, boys are strongly encouraged to attend if they are intending to trial for a spot in a College tennis team. Boys will not be disadvantaged if they are unable to attend, though it is expected that boys who attend will benefit from expert coaching which may assist them during the trial process at the start of Term 3. The clinic will be run by Mr Allan Say, the College s AIC Tennis Coordinator, and the Professional Tennis coaches who work at Pro-Am tennis.
