Dimitrov is still looking for his first title this year; he was able to make the final of his most recent tournament in Rotterdam before falling to Roger Federer. 2nd-seeded Pouille has made two finals in his home country during the month of February, claiming the title in Montpellier over countryman Richard Gasquet, before falling to Karen Khachanov in the Marseille title match on Sunday. Pouille, a semi-finalist here last year, will take on former Top 10 player Ernests Gulbis, after the Latvian made it through qualifying to reach an ATP World Tour main draw for the second time this month.
