Djokovic has dominated Cilic in their head-to-head, emerging victorious 14 straight times from 2008 through Cilic, however, finally claimed a win in their 15th and most recent meeting, in the quarter-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 at Paris-Bercy in Making his 12th straight appearance at Queen s Club, Cilic is into the final for the fourth time in his career, including a runner-up finish last year. The World No. 6 has reached his second final of the season, following his third career Grand Slam final at the Australian Open in January (l. to Roger Federer). The Croatian has made it through the draw with stellar serving statistics, having won 45 of his 46 service games during the week, and leading the field in points won on first serve (90%). Djokovic, meanwhile, is into his first singles final since winning the Eastbourne title on 1 July 2017, nearly a full year ago. Back from a right elbow injury earlier in the season, Djokovic will try to surpass his previous best result at Queen s Club, a runner-up finish ten years ago. Like Cilic, Djokovic has dropped serve only once in the tournament, winning 36 out of his 37 service games during the week. Djokovic picked up his 800th singles match win with his quarter-final victory over Adrian Mannarino before moving into the 99th singles final of his career. The doubles final pits defending champions Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares against Henri Kontinen and John Peers. Soares also won this title in 2014 (with Alexander Peya), beating the team of Murray and Peers in the final. All four players featured in this encounter have been ranked in the Top 2 of the ATP World Tour doubles rankings at some point during their careers (Kontinen and Murray are both former World No. 1 players).
