Alex Carney and Eliza Taylor each had an assist. Lauren Riviera was given the game ball for her great patience, defense and sends into the circle. 2 2nd Half: CHS Goal: Erin Doherty Goalie Saves: Khaliyah Ellis - 8 Saves JV: Pinkerton 3 - Concord 0 Maddi Cresta, Alex Carney and Maddy Curley all contributed a goal for the win. Alex was sent home with the game ball. Mya Landry, Abby Murphy, and Nina Coviello were strong on defense. Abbey Rowe had 6 saves in net. Monday, October 8, 2018

3 Freshmen: Pinkerton 2 - Winnacunnet 2 Winnacunnet we tied 2-2. Jaclyn Dubray and Maggie Berrigan each scored one goal. Abbey Rowe had three saves in net. Current record: Football: Monday, October 1, 2018 JV: Pinkerton 22 - Salem 8 Freshmen: Pinkerton 34 - Timberlane 6 All around team win vs Timberlane Two TD s by David Clark the 3rd, one each by Spellman, Cooper, and Patrikas. Garone with two touchdown passes and over 200 yards in the air. Bates with 3 extra point kicks. Defense controlled the Owls for 4 quarters. Varsity: Pinkerton 44 - Timberlane 10 The Astros travelled to Timberlane friday night and won In the first half the Astros scored 30 points and only allowed for 2 points to be scored. In the third quarter Pinkerton put the game away by adding two more touchdowns. The Astros will travel to Portsmouth this Friday. Saturday: Pinkerton 36 - Timberlane 0 Golf: Tuesday, October 2, 2018 CC - Derry, NH - Par 36

4 Team Scores - Pinkerton Spaulding Memorial - DNF Top 5 Pinkerton Scores Cam Leppert Matt MacDougall Nick Tufts Kyle Raspuzzi Zak Kahn - 42 Impressive scores by both teams in the cold steady rain on a soaked course. JV: JV CC - Derry, NH - Par 36 The JV golf team ended the season on a very positive note on Wednesday finishing 2nd in the JV State Tournament. The field this year was comprised of 17 teams. Exeter finished 1st overall with a team score of 162. Pinkerton was 2nd with a score of 164 which was a team low score for the season. Bedford came in 3rd at 169, Concord 4th at 177 and Windham 5th at 183. Rob DeFeo, Tylor Pappalardo and Jeremy Burke each shot 40 and Max Lukeman shot 44 to lead the Astros. All four of these players received medals for finishing in the top 20 out of a field of 100 players. The course conditions were not ideal, but the young Astros played well when it counted the most. Boys Soccer: Monday, October 1, 2018 Varsity: Pinkerton 3 - Dover 0 Senior Rob Douglas scored his first career goal to help Pinkerton Academy to victory. Sophomores Michael Curtin and Will D Amico scored to only goals. Senior goalkeeper Max Fairbank earned his sixth shut-out of the season, with the defensive assistance of Jen Tremblay and Mac Johnson. Freshmen: Pinkerton 2 - Exeter 1

5 Robbie Jones recorded his 5th goal of the season in the first half of play to put the Astros up 1-0 at half. Exeter tied the game up 15 minutes into the second half. Tyler Sullivan scored for the Astros with 5 minutes remaining. Owen Bellanger recorded 7 saves in the second half to allow the Astros to hold onto the win. Varsity: Pinkerton 3 - Exeter 1 Henry Andrews had a goal and 2 assists to help the Astros defeat Exeter. Hunter Rathburn and Alex Beaulieu added the other goals. Andrew Lydick, Jon Tremblay, and Mac Johnson had excellent defensive performances. JV: Exeter 2 - Pinkerton 0 Freshmen: Astros 3 - Timberlane 0 After a scoreless first the Astros scored 15 minutes in to the second half on a Sam Dionne goal assisted by Jack McCauley. Jack McCarthy scored the second goal of the game again assisted by Jack McCauley. Adam Freiburger finished out the scoring for the Astros with a header goal from a Sam Dionne corner kick. Owen Belanger recorded 5 saves and secured his 4th shutout of the season. Varsity: Pinkerton 5 - Bishop Guertin 0 Sophomore Will D Amico scored 3 goals and added an assist to help the Astros past Bishop Guertin. Brendan Hanlon and Hunter Rathburn contributed to the cause by scoring goals as well. Goalkeeper Max Fairbank earned his seventh shut-out of the season. JV: Pinkerton 2 - Bishop Guertin 1 Jacob Merrill and Dan Humphrey scored the goals for Pinkerton to help the Astros beat Bishop Guertin 2-1.

6 Girls Soccer: Monday, October 1, 2018 Varsity: Exeter 2 - Pinkerton 0 The Astros lost to Exeter 2-0 Monday night. The girls worked hard. Despite good defending by Adria Forand, Aana Blaszka, and Macy Graves, Exeter was able to sneak in a goal both halves. JV: Exeter 7 - Pinkerton 1 The lady Astros fell to a strong Exeter side, 1-7. Highlights included strong playing from sophomore Hannah Borges who scored Pinkerton's lone goal. The girls look to bounce back against another away game Wednesday against Manchester Memorial. Freshmen: Pinkerton 3 - Exeter 1 The freshman girl s team beat Exeter yesterday 3-1 in an exciting game! Exeter got the first goal early on in the game, but the Astros responded soon after with a PK goal from Caitlin Seleny. Soon after off of a cross from Maggie Brown, Rain Keefe scored giving the Astros the lead. The second half yielded another goal by Rain, this time off of a cross from Kailee Fournier. Defensively the Astros worked hard with standout performances by Royce D Amelio and Allison Lamphere. Varsity: Pinkerton 1 - Memorial 0 Pinkerton beat Memorial 1-0 Wednesday night. Adria Forand delivered a corner kick and Sam Franks headed it into the back of the net for a beautiful goal. Mattie Sullivan, Sammy Surron and Tori Peguri had great games in the middle. Reagan Kolinski got her sixth shutout. JV: Pinkerton 3 - Memorial 1 Despite conceding the first goal, the Astros bounced back to win against Memorial, 3-1. Goals were scored by sophomore Annabel Veale, sophomore Aisling Corcoran (first of

7 the year), and freshman Maddie Frank. The ladies look to close out the week with another win when they take on Bishop Guertin at home on Friday. Varsity: Pinkerton 1 - Bishop Guertin 1 Pinkerton tied BG Friday night. BG got an early goal putting in a rebound after a great first save by Reagan Kolinski. The equalizer came in the second half by captain Katie Ziniti off a Mattie Sullivan pass. JV: Pinkerton 0 - Bishop Guertin 0 Although Pinkerton dominated possession and scoring opportunities, they couldn't beat the fading daylight and ended in a 0-0 draw with Bishop Guertin. Highlights included good midfield work from sophomore Olivia Pavao and sophomore Caryl Huebner. The lady Astros look to earn a win on the road in their next match against Merrimack. Girls Volleyball: Monday, October 1, 2018 Varsity: Pinkerton 3 - Dover 0 The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team beat a 9-1 Dover squad on the read by a strong 3-0 score. Setter Ella Dandrade dished out 18 assists and also gathered 10 service points, and 16 digs. Senior captain Amelia Graves added 10 service points, 3 acesm and 11 digs. Brooke Kane collected 3 kills and 2 blocks. Right side Emma Bernard had 5 kills including the match winner in a game 3. Libero Reese Asselin collected 14 digs and 8 service points, while defensive specialist Kiley Davis added 8 digs and a kill. The Astros now stand 8-4. JV: Pinkerton 3 - Dover 0 The JV Astros beat Dover on Monday night 25-21, 25-19, The JV Astros improve to 10-2 and look forward to their game versus Exeter at home on Wednesday.

8 Varsity: Exeter 3 - Pinkerton 1 The Girls Varsity Volleyball team lost a close well played game to Exeter by a 3-1 count. The Astros played the Blue Hawkes strongly all night and totaled an equal number of points for the game. Senior outside Amelia Graves played all around for the first time in a minute, earned 14 kills, 24 digs, 8 service points, and 3 aces. Junior setter Ella Dandrade dished out 25 assists, Bekah Stallings contributed 4 blocks, Ella Koelb added 14 service points and 5 aces, and Reese Asselin had 24 digs and 10 service points. The Astros now stand 8-5. JV: Exeter 2 - Pinkerton 1 The JV Astros lost 1-2 to Exeter last night. The Astros played a strong match but came up short of the win. Ellie Cashman played well defensively and had several key backrow attacks. Ella Koelb ran the Astros' offense and contributed a string of service points, including several aces! Maddie Pomeroy also had a service run and played well at the net. The 9-3 Astros continue their season at BG on Friday. Varsity: Bishop Guertin 3 - Pinkerton 0 The Pinkerton Academy Varsity Volleyball team was uppended by a strong Bishop Guertin squad on the road by a 3-0 count. Setter Ella Dandrade had 7 assists while freshmen Lily Heyward contributed 3 kills and both added 4 service points in a tightly played game one loss For the second match, Amelia Graves had 7 kills and Emma Bernard notched 6, Nicole Valcourt totalled 2 blocks, and Ella Dandrade had 11 service points and 2 aces. Graves and libero Reese Asselin had 17 and 15 digs respectively for the Astros, who now stand 8-6 on the season. JV: Pinkerton 3 - Bishop Guertin 0 JV Astros won an exciting game over BG on Friday night, taking all 3 games. The win was a team effort with everyone serving strong and contributing on offense and defense. The Astros take on Merrimack at home on Wednesday. Freshmen: Bishop Guertin 2 - Pinkerton 1

9 The Freshman Volleyball Astros dropped an exciting match at Bishop Guertin on Friday, falling to the Cardinals 2 games to 1, in what might have been the most solid game of the season. The Astros came out aggressively, while playing well as a team, and beat the Cardinals in game 1. They were within striking distance in games 2 and 3, but couldn't seal the deal. The girls will be back in action on Wednesday, at home, versus Merrimack. Game time will be 4:00. Athletes of the Week: Gannon Fast, Senior: Football Gannon Fast had 3 quarterback sacks and numerous tackles against Timberlane to help the Astros win Lily Auger, Junior: Field Hockey Strong defensive and offensive games throughout the season. Lily is a utility player, going wherever her team needs her. She has had stand-out performances in a lot of games this season, most notably Winnacunnet (assist on the OT game winning goal) as well as most recently Keene, where she was a contributor to all three of the Astro Goals (one goal and two assists).
