We have over 100 new members, which mean more demand on our course and clubhouse. Please be aware of our fellow members, maintain a reasonable pace of play. Many of you have children, and we hope you that you allow them to participate in Cary s JR golf programs and learn how to enjoy the game of golf. Likewise, lets be careful when you are on the course with smaller children to make sure that they are protected from stray shots and do not disturb others. We view MCC as a place for the entire family and hopefully you will also. Happy Hour Tues. Fri 5-7pm 10% Off Drinks The repairs on the back side of our clubhouse have started and hopefully will be ready for a wonderful opening during the Memorial Day weekend. In the meantime, please be careful if you go to the back deck or pool area at all times but especially during the construction. We have concluded 2013 s first quarter. By now you have read and studied the first quarter results. While we exceeded budget for the first quarter we still have challenges in front of us. Many of those challenges can be met with utilization of our club by our membership and your guest. Please take a second to study the report if you have not already done so. As your president, I feel confident that the BOD has a plan in place that will allow us to maintain a wonderful facility, and to be competitive in 2014 and beyond as a totally private club. This includes a constant review of our budget, including our sources of income. I know that instant results are nice, but we have to build on our success and realize that many factors beyond our control can happen. We are looking for ways to thank our membership but hopefully everyone will understand that our first quarter results are an indication and not an absolute. Thank you for your continued support. Night Family Night Kids Eat Free w/ Adult Entrée F RO M YO U R C L U B H O U S E M A N A G E R With one major club event under our belt (Light it and Ignite it), we are looking forward to some of the other upcoming annual events. One of our favorites, is the MCC Four Ball coming in May. We have some great entertainment, food and beverages and other activities planned this May. Mid-month we are going to give credit where credit is due, to Momma. Let us take care of her that day, so everyone can relax and enjoy your time together. Memorial Day Weekend is really the official kick off to summer, the opening of the pool and the Four Ball all rolled into one. That will be a great end to a busy month. There are a list of tournaments this month and we will do our best to accommodate these guests and get you back onto the course as soon as possible. Many of these are on Monday so they should be out of sight and out of mind. Thanks to everyone who participated this past month in the club and the Mixed Grill. I am seeing many new faces and it is so important to come and support your club. We look forward to seeing you at the Bill Wallace house Manager

Now that the grass is growing we will need to close the practice range at 6pm on Sundays. This will allow us to get all the balls picked so the grounds crew can mow on Mondays. Cary T U R F TA L K The course is coming through spring looking pretty good. Now we are moving into tournament season and mowing season. This means we are busy! It is a great time of year. During the spring rain showers and thunderstorms are fairly common. Sometimes after these rains we have to ask the membership to play Cart Path Only, when this is the case please remain on the pavement. Driving in the rough does just as much or more damage as driving in the fairways so please remember to stay Cart Path Only when we post the signs. The entire golf course and especially the greens are getting better everyday with this weather. Attention.all new members please join the MGA and come out for our monthly tournaments. These tournament proceeds help us to do more projects to improve our course. I also would like to thank the MGA members who volunteered to work the Susan G. Komen tournament. Please don t hesitate to offer up any suggestions for future tournaments or project ideas you may have for the course. The weather was perfect for the Susan G. Komen Rally for the Cure golf tournament. A BIG THANK YOU to all of the volunteers. It was truly a joint effort and I want to thank everyone for their help and support. If you are a new member and would like to come out and join us, our May luncheon meeting & Scramble will be held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 1st.
