But today was his last day as he and his wife head north to a new life. So thank you Steve for all your help and your friendly happy face everytime we saw you. These bikes would also jump as high as your average motocrosser. But this is not a poor man s game this quad racing some of the bikes there today would be $40k or more. The Van Vliet family (Four Brothers Racing) are dominating the Victorian quad scene, with national level quad championship wins, wins at the Finke, and experience in overseas competition. And they don t take no prisoners! Or is that just brothers being brothers. 8

This looks to be a fantastic final round head to head sprints on a 5km track with design assistance from enduro legends Norm Watts and his son Shane Watts, and Shane has announced via Facebook he will be racing: Just finished a full day of setting up trail for the VORC Sprint race next weekend at Yarram. It's going to be pretty bloody awesome and I can't wait to race it - don't miss out if you're undecided about coming!!! A 2004 KTM200EXC is rumoured to be his weapon of choice as his KTM125 from the 1998 International 6 Day stays in the shed for the time being. And Shane has hinted at a Pony Express at Three Bridges in late October. Entries and Final Instructions for this last round are at but if you are not entering then come along and spectate (Buckley s Reserve, Morris Road, Yarram) it s going to be good. Yarram MCC: A huge thanks to Damien Janssen, Leigh Bland, Travis Finlay Smith, Shane and Norm Watts, Matt and Ryan Zygarlicki for all the hard work today. Also Alan Lawler for cooking up lunch for us all. The track is all set, 5.3kms long with a mix of everything. Head to head racing on two separate tracks for the first 1.5kms. Then into tight bush, off camber, grass track, more bush then finishing off with a euro style, flowing test. For those wanting to pre walk the track next 16
