Live Stats: Redhawks to close out home schedule this weekend This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University men s soccer team will conclude the home half of 2010 schedule with a final pair of home games this weekend. The Redhawks (4-8-3 overall, MPSF) will host the Falcons of Air Force (6-9 overall, 4-3 MPSF) on Friday, Oct. 29, in a 2:30 p.m. contest. Two days later, SU will host their annual Senior Day celebration prior to their match versus the University of Denver (6-5-4 overall, MPSF). First kick is set for 1:30 p.m. Last Time Out: The Redhawks snapped a three game skid behind their

In his first four seasons, he has led the Redhawks to a overall record and a.611 winning percentage. In 2009, he helped guide SU through their first full season at the NCAA Division I level. Last season also marked the team s first season as members of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Due to the reclassifying process, the team was ineligible to participate in postseason play, despite being eligible. Prior to transitioning into DI, Agoos helped guide the team to backto-back GNAC titles and two straight NCAA Division II tournament appearances, including their second Far West Region title over the past three seasons. During his tenure, he has coached a DII First Team All-America selection, a GNAC Player of the Year, GNAC Academic All-Americans, an ESPN The Magazine Third Team All-American recipient, an ESPN The Magazine All-District VIII First Team selection and four MPSF all-academic selections. 2-0 victory at UNLV on Oct. 24. Junior Kevin Cook scored the game-winner in the second half, for his first goal of the season. Kyle Peterman added an insurance goal to seal the victory and goalkeeper Jake Feener earned his third shutout since taking over starting duties. Prior to their shutout victory, SU fell 2-0 at New Mexico on Oct. 22. Agoos Thoughts: We are excited for this weekend. We get to celebrate Senior Day and recognize the careers of the graduating class. We are coming off a good game at UNLV and are looking forward to getting back out there and competing. Cook Scores First Career Goal: Junior defender Kevin Cook made his first career goal a memorable one. He scored the game-winner, snapping a three game losing streak at UNLV on Oct. 24. MPSF Players of the Week: The Redhawks have had two players named MPSF Conference Player of the Week this season. Both SU goalkeepers received the honor with senior Ivan Dizdar being named POW on Sept. 20, and freshman Jake Feener earned the honor on Oct. 11. Versus Ranked Opponents: The Redhawks have played a pair of ranked opponents this season. They kicked off the year with then-no. 5 Tulsa on Sept. 4, and most recently took on then-no. 24 Portland on Sept. 26. Versus both ranked teams, SU has played very competitively and their offense has only been outscored 4

5 4-2 by the ranked squads. In the MPSF: The Redhawks currently are tied for No. 2 in the Pacific Division. They are still vying for a postseason conference tournament berth. Versus the Mountain Division: Seattle U currently is 1-1 versus the Mountain Division this season. Feener Earns Third Shutout: True freshman goalkeeper Jake Feener earned his third shutout at UNLV on Oct. 24, since taking over starting keeper duties six games ago. He currently is on the year, and has tallied 37 saves and a 0.80 goals against average, while allowing only five goals. Peterman Leads Offense: Junior forward Kyle Peterman scored his third goal of the season at UNLV on Oct. 24. He leads the Redhawk offense this season in goals scored and points, with six. He has seen in action in 14 games this season and has fired off 32 shots, with 15 on target. Scouting Air Force: The Air Force Falcons are coming off a two game winning streak. AFA (6-9 overall, 4-3 MPSF) beat San Jose State 2-0 on Oct. 22, and they also overcame Sacramento State 2-1 two days later. The Falcons are in second place in the MPSF s Mountain Division, one point behind first place New Mexico. Leading Air Force is the offensive duo of Kevin Durr and Kyle Moses, who both scored a goal in their last match against Sac State. The pair also has tallied nine points each on the season. Sophomore Durr has four goals and one assist, while senior Moses has three goals and three assists. Zane Dydasco is the team s assist leader with four dishes this season. Defensively, AFA has seen time from three different goalkeepers this season, with Matt Underwood playing the bulk of the minutes between the posts. In 14 games, Underwood has allowed 20 goals, made 56 saves and has a 1.56 goals against average. He recorded his first career shutout Oct. 15, against UNLV. Patrick Gould has seen action in five games, tallying six saves and four goals allowed. Fernando Suito-Acuna has played in one game, allowing one goal. Scouting Denver: The University of Denver Pioneers are coming off a 3-1 win against San Jose State on Oct. 24. Earlier that weekend DU (6-5-4 overall, MPSF) tied Sacramento State, Redhawk men s Soccer Leading the Pioneers is Jarod Stigall who has tallied seven goals and five assists for 19 points on the season. Stigall netted two goals and an assist in their last victory against SJSU. Alex Tarnoczi is also an offensive leader with five assists on the year. DU has seen time from three goalkeepers between the pipes this season. Teale Stone has played in eight games this season, making 36 saves and allowing 13 goals, with a 1.64 goals against average. Joe Willis has seen action in seven games, making 36 saves and allowing four goals. Mate Aguirre has seen time in one game this season, making eight saves and allowing one goal. 5
