Total processing apple holdings as of January 1, 2019, were 34.5 million bushels, 18 percent less than those on January 1, 2018, and 13 percent less than the five-year average for that date. *Note: Due to the government shutdown, certain USDA data was unavailable, including price and export data and monthly Michigan storage data. Michigan data in this report was estimated using historical December - January movement data.
