Any club may join for free. It will keep members updated about proposed legislation that affects the car hobby nationwide. If you or your club want to sign up, go to and do it. The editor will publish any pertinent information received. ************************************************************************************* ***** Minutes: February 22, 2012 Meeting Our President, Dennis Seibert, was unable to attend the meeting so our Vice President John Doran called the meeting to order at 7:35, PM and the following club representatives were present: Paul McLaughlin-Mustang Owners Club, ATHS-NM, Ron Rymarz-OCCA, Su Rymarz-OCCA, Pat Hall- CNM, Robert Gold-Corvairs of NM, Mike Stickler-Corvairs of NM, Don Briggs-Camaro Club, Raymond Continola-Rickshaws, Frank Chavez-Dukes CC, Albert Muniz-Dukes CC, Louis Paul- VMCCA, RRCC, Lisa BonDurant-Saabisti NM, David Pachak-Robie-Saabisti NM, Joyce Clements- OCCA, Gary Zimmerman-Mopar Club, Jim Clements-Early Ford V8, Bill Lemen-LCOC, Joe Ballengee-AMCC, Bob Agnew-CCCA, John Doran-RGMC. Our first guest speaker was Bob Lange, a producer for "Kar-Kix" (1550 AM-09:00 AM Saturdays) a radio program about cars and car people. He spoke about trying to get people on his program to talk about cars and car events. Our second guest speaker, Richard Figved, was unable to attend but he sent material on the items his company offers (awards, ribbons, buttons, and etc.) for Joyce Clements to distribute to members at the meeting. Treasurer's Report- Ron Rymarz reported that as of this date our checking account is in the black. Old Business: 501 (c) (3) Status Report- Lisa BonDurant reports no status change as of this date and that our application for a status change is still working its way through the IRS system. New Business:
3 Albuquerque Museum Show-Joyce Clements reports that members of the car show committee met with the museum staff on 2/22/12 and everything seems to be working as planned. We already have our dash plaques on hand and the show classes are pretty much the same as last year. The Classic Chevy Club will be in charge of setting up the "100th Anniversary Chevrolet" display. All vehicles are welcomed at this event but it was decided that this year the cut-off date for awards is Web Site- David Pachak-Robie spoke about the changes made to our web page. The Home Page is simpler to use now and more professional looking. There is an on-line form on the web site on how to place notices and officers have their own page now. We are also on Facebook now which should draw a younger group of car enthusiasts to our web site. Spring Thaw Open House- Bob Agnew's "Spring Thaw Open House" to raise funds for Cuidando Los Ninos will be held on April 21, This event offers people a great opportunity to have their cars checked over before the driving season. There will also be lots of good food to eat. If you would like to make an appointment for your old car or truck to be checked over call Bob at Worldwide Automotive at At this point the meeting was adjourned. Paul G. The Council Officers are seeking a Host Club for the All Clubs Picnic, scheduled for August 12. The host club determines the location and venue; the Council picks up the expenses. If your club, or a group of clubs is interested in hosting the event, please contact Dennis Seibert at or Bob Agnew at during business hours.
