1 FOUNDED IN 1977 TO REPRESENT THE AUTO HOBBY IN NEW MEXICO NEWSLETTER FOR JANUARY, 2010 NEXT MEETING TO BE AT OLD CAR GARAGE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2010, 7:30pm MEETING AGENDA: Plans for 2010, Budget, Storage New Mexico Council of Car Clubs Minutes: October 28, 2009 Meeting Bob Agnew, our President, called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM and the following club reps were on hand; Ron and Su Rymarz-OCCA, John Doran-RGMC, John Hayne-Tin Lizzies of Albuq, Lauri Rector-NM4W, Don Jones-AMCC, Raymond Cotinolla-Rickshaws, Joe Cifaratta-VMCCA, Pat Hall-CNM, Louie Paul-RRCC, Frank Chavez-Dukes Car Club, Albert Muniz-Dukes Car Club, Bill Lemen-LCOC, Paul McLaughlin-Mustang Owners Club, ATHS-NM, Bob Agnew-CCCA. Guests: K.C. Flores from Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau Old Business- Treasurer's Report-Ron Rymarz reports that as of this date we are in the hole. That he doesn't have our latest bank statement to show a balance. He does say that our profits over the last few years are going down on an annual basis while our expenses keep going up. And we must address this issue in our next meeting. Bob Agnew and Ron Rymarz discussed at length the fact that we are spending more money than we are taking in. Ron Rymarz's point is that we have to start living within our means. Both agreed that we should discuss our 2010 budget at our next meeting to be held on January 27, 2010 at the Old Car Garage. Bob Agnew asked for a voice vote to approve a payment of $ to Los Lunas for the use of Morris Field for our Swap Meet Held in September. This motion passed. Then a second motion was presented that the Board of Directors decide on whether or not to increase that $1000 amount by 10%. The Board of Directors will vote on this motion at a later date. New Business- According to Bob Agnew our September Swap Meet was a success from a monetary standpoint. We took in $ while our costs were about $5200 resulting in a profit for this event of $ We have also heard from our vendors that they were happy and some of them have requested the same spots for next year. K. C. Flores, of the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau spoke next. He told us that his specialty at the bureau is the hobby/recreational segment and he has offered to work with us to advertise and promote any of our future events. They can work with hotels and other service providers to get us the best deals in Albuquerque. This is a free service to us because ACVB is a not for profit group that is funded through the city's Lodger's Tax. He encouraged everyone present to call on and work with ACVB to make our events successful. Club Representatives were told that our 2010 schedule of events are as follows; May 16, 2010 Albuquerque Museum Car Show, August 2010, All Clubs Picnic, and September 24-26, 2010, Annual NMCCC Fall Swap Meet. Please do not schedule conflicting events during these times. At this point a motion was made to adjourn the meeting. See you all on January 27, 2010 at the Old Car Garage. Paul G. McLaughlin, Secretary SWAP MEET REPORT After payment of $1, to Los Lunas for the use of Morris Field for our Swap Meet, the final profit is $3, A balance sheet is included for your information. WEB SITE At this point in time, I am unable to access the web site to edit it and add new listings. The user name and password I have no longer work. I have asked Mike Maestas to check into this, as he is the contact with our provider. Hopefully, we can resolve the issue soon, and I can go back to putting up events. - Joyce COUNCIL STORAGE UNIT In November of 2009, clubs received a proposal to buy a storage unit for Council property. I received responses from 13 active clubs, all favoring the purchase. The by-laws defines a quorum as 10 active clubs. That to me means that the unit is a go. I also received a proposal from the Rainbow Roadrunners challenging clubs to help pay for the unit on a voluntary

2 basis. They donated $100 toward the project, and promised to match any donations from other clubs, up to $300. Their letter is included at the back of the newsletter. 5 DONUT DERELICTS Donut Derelicts aka Burrito Bandits meets in the Starbucks/Dos Hermanos Plaza off of Jefferson (same location as the past year) at 8AM on Saturdays. There are several places there for coffee, or even breakfast. There is a Maestas and Ward in the NW corner, and that's where we park; there is a Starbucks, a Dos Hermanos, a Hello Deli and a Twisters Jefferson NE. Spread the word - all makes of cars.
