With a team score of 165, the Cardinals won easily by 11 strokes over Sartell's second place 176. Elliot Amundson and Grant Rebrovich were in a three-way tie for 2nd at 40. The rest of the team score was rounded out by Joe Bigger 43 and Ben Jensen 44. Joey Carslon made a 4 stroke improvement over last meet with a 42 and Landyn James shot a 47. The JV Boys return to action again Monday at home for their third Conference Meet. The Cards bested the field and beat out runners-up Sartell by 11 strokes. Our own Cora Larson was the meet medalist.. The weather was nice and that enabled favorable scoring conditions, but the undulating greens gave the Lady Linksters some putting trouble. Meet medalist Cora Larson fired a nifty 45 that included four pars in nine holes. Admittedly, she could have been even lower but a 4-putt on the par 3 fourth dashed her hopes. Madi Winter shot a 56, but that included two holes she wished a do-over. Olivia Mikkelson notched another round in the 50 s shooting a 58, but started her trek with one of those unmentionable scores on the short par 3 ninth. Katlyn Ryberg shot a 66. The par 5 s gave her the most bother. Shayleigh Reiter made her first appearance in the line-up tallying a 66, Hadley Mikkelson penciled in a 69, and first-timer Megan Rydberg came in with a 71 to round out the list for the Cardinals.

2 CLC JV Standings (after two events): 1) Alex-15 2) Brnd-13 3) Sart-12 Will-12 5) Tech-8 6) Roco-5 7) FFls- 4 8) Ap/SR-3 Next meet: Alex JV Invite at the Alexandria G.C. on Monday, April 24th BASEBALL VARSITY Alexandria 3 Austin 2 at US BANK STADIUM MORE RESULTS FROM THE WEEKEND Cardinal baseball traveled to U.S. Bank Stadium on Friday for a non conference match up against the Austin Packers. Austin jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first but didn't plate another run the rest of the game. We were able to score 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning which was just enough as no more runs were scored the rest of the game. Blake Anderson picked up the win going 5 innings giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits and 2 walks. Brady Burgau relieved Anderson pitching the final two frames giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and 2 walks. Offensively the Cardinals were led by Thomas Anderson and Brock Anderson with 2 hits a piece. Reed Larson and Braiden Reisdorf were the only other Cardinals in the hit column. Defensively we played very well committing just 1 error in the first inning. With our pitchers only recording 1 strikeout we relied heavily on our defense and met the challenge well. It was a great experience for the players, coaches and fans. Thank you to ISD 206 and AYBA for help making it possible. Also thank you to Russ Hinrichs, Kevin Engebretson and Dave McClurg for coming down to broadcast the came on the radio. SOFTBALL JV Alexandria 21 Fergus Falls 3 in 4 innings

3 The Alexandria JV got their first win of the season last Thursday against conference rival Fergus Falls. The young Cards broke the game open early by scoring 9 runs in the 1 st inning. Nikki Boetzett got the scoring started by blasting a leadoff in the park homerun to right center. From there the bats stayed hot. Girls having multiple hits in this game were Paige Honkomp, Jordyn Marshall, Callista Bergquist, and Kelsea Haugen. Freshmen Carly Burns also cracked a long in the park homerun to right center in the 1 st inning. Burns picked up her first JV win scattering 4 hits while striking out 3 and walking 2 Fergus batters. Burns went the distance on the mound while Haugen and Taylor Wagner shared the duties behind the plate. The JV is now 1-1 on the year and have a doubleheader against Sartell tonight at AAHS at 4:00. SOFTBALL 9 TH GRADE Alexandria 3 Fergus Falls 10 Alexandria 7 Fergus Falls 2 The Cardinal 9 th grade softball team split with Fergus Falls on Thursday, April 13 th ; losing 10-3, then winning 7-2. The girls played well. They were very aggressive on the bases. Offensively, they are getting great hits and finding ways to get on the bases, but we still have quite a few things to work on defensively. DANCE TEAM There will be a short informational meeting for all girls interested in being on the Cardinal Dance Team this Thursday, April 20th at 8:00am in room B251. INTRAMURALS There will be an Ultimate Frisbee tournament on Sunday, April 23rd at 3:30 on the football field. Hope to see you there!
