El Paso was swept 3 times during the regular season with one of them being a 3game sweep at the hands of the Rainiers in Tacoma back in April. Oklahoma City also swept the Chihuahuas over 4 games in OKC in midaugust. Over the last 35 PCL playoff series, 71percent of teams that have won Game 1 in the PCL Playoffs have gone on to win the series with 10 teams coming back from down 01. The last 3 playoff series in the PCL have seen teams down 01 come back to win the series. Both El Paso & Oklahoma City trailed 01 after Game 1 of the Conference Finals before advancing to the PCL Championship Series. Fresno also lost Game 1 of the 2015 PCL Championship Series in extra innings & came back to defeat Round Rock in 5 games before going on to win the TripleA National Championship in El Paso. El Paso's 4.99 ERA regular season ERA was the highest among the 4 teams in the PCL Playoffs. However, they have posted the best ERA in their first round series. Tacoma only scored 2 runs against the El Paso bullpen (both off Jason Jester). Buddy Baumann earned his 3rdcareer PCL Playoff win Game 4 & his 2nd winning decision in a series clinching game. Manuel Margot led all hitters in the first round by batting.500 (918) & is the Chihuahuas alltime leader in postseason hits. Diego Goris led the Pacific Conference Finals with 5 RBI while both Hunter Renfroe & Nick Noonan scored a serieshigh 6 runs. Renfroe smacked the gamewinning 2run homer in Game 4 for his 4th PCL Playoff homer of his career. The last time the Padres TripleA affiliate played for the PCL title was in 1988 when the Las Vegas Stars defeated Vancouver in 5 games was the last season an El Paso team won a league championship when the El Paso Diablos (DoubleA Brewers) won the Texas League crown. That same year was the last time the Dodgers affiliate was PCL Champs as Albuquerque won in 5 games against Vancouver. Oklahoma City's last league championship was the 1965 PCL Championship. The TripleA affiliates of both the San Diego Padres & Los Angeles Dodgers have been in the Pacific Coast League dating back to The only other time their affiliates went headtohead for the PCL Championship was in 1980 as the Albuquerque Dukes (Dodgers) defeated the Hawaii Islanders (Padres) in 5 games. 1
