2 Why Pink Shirts? Pink Shirt Day February 28 th This 28th of February, be sure to wear your pink shirt for NSS Pink Shirt Day. Support and spread awareness of Pink Shirt Day, to stop bullying in all forms, and let your voice be heard. In 2007, a group of grade 9 students organized a Pink Shirt Day to stand up for a fellow student who was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They took a stand against his harassment by handing out pink shirts for boys to wear, strength in numbers ceased all bullying as they were not heard from again. To read more about Pink Shirt Day, you can visit their website at: #pinkshirtday #stopbullying #acceptance #safetyinschool Hands-On Nutrition Workshop Join registered dietitian Carrie Mullin Innes in this hands-on cooking class to create healthy meals and snacks that even your adolescent athlete could prepare. Recipes will be designed to be teen friendly, quick, simple and performance-based. Sports nutrition guidelines and nutrient content of meals and snacks will be discussed.
