The sale will start at 6:00pm and we try to move quickly and have the sale done within 1 1/2 hours. Plan ahead and have your ticket order completely filled out before you arrive. If you have a side preference, you can mark this on your ticket forms. Teachers will be sending out stage placements prior to ticket sale. Tickets may be paid for by cash, check, or credit cards. All studio accounts must be paid in full before you purchase your tickets. Your account will be checked before you may purchase your recital tickets. This sale has gone very smoothly in the past. The only problem we have is people arriving early. In the past we have nicely asked them to leave and come back at the correct time. This year we do not want parents to put us in that position. DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 5:00pm!!! Please help us to make this a positive and happy experience. Drop Off Ticket Order Procedure (see order form below) Fill out the ticket order form below and bring it to the studio beginning on Monday May 7th at 3:00pm. All orders must be paid in full. The forms are numbered in the order received. AFTER the in person ticket sale on Friday May 11, 2018 we fill the drop off orders. You can pick up your tickets the next time you are at the studio. This has been a successful method for most people for many years. All studio accounts must be paid in full before you purchase your tickets. 8 Frozen Ballet Dress Rehearsal - Monday June 4 All ballet classes that are part of the ballet production will be having dress rehearsal on Monday June 4, 2018 at South Lyon East High School. This is a closed rehearsal, no viewing will be allowed. Please drop off your dancer and pick them up in the auditorium lobby. 9 Dress Rehearsal South Lyon East High School Please arrive at the school early or you will miss the practice. Rehearsal Procedure: Arrive at South Lyon East High School 15 minutes prior to your scheduled rehearsal time. Dancers will be on stage at the listed time. Come in costume and correct shoes. Dancers who have dances rehearsing back to back, please come dressed in the costume for the first dance scheduled. Please wear either jazz, ballet or hip hop shoes for classes backed up with tap. We do not have time to change costumes and shoes backstage. No need for hair and make up at this practice. The dancers will be escorted backstage to practice and returned to the lobby area. Parents must wait in the lobby as we are renting the stage area only and not the auditorium. This is a closed practice, no pictures or video at this time. You will be able to record at the actual recital or purchase a DVD. Student Trophies and Memory Book Each year we reward our students hard work and dedication by giving them a trophy and memory book. Gayle s DancePhase creates a memory book to commemorate the dance year. This is provided free to all students at Gayle s DancePhase. Many students like to bring their memory book to class the last week to collect autographs. We also give special trophies for students who have been with us for 3, 5, 10 and 15 consecutive years. All trophies will be handed out to students at dress rehearsal. The 10 and 15 year students will be recognized on stage during the shows at intermission. 10 &15 Year Students Please read carefully 10 and 15 year students are awarded with a special personalized trophy. You will receive your trophy during dress rehearsal. You will be introduced on stage at the start of intermission at each recital. All 10 and 15 year students must report backstage 2 numbers before intermission. You do not need to bring your trophy to the recitals. 10 year student awards: Sophia Lack, Kendall Meyer, Mallory Steffes, Peyton Strange, Reagan Yee 15 year student awards: Evelyn Keller, Alexander Turner

10 Recital Make-Up & Hair Below is the required make-up for all female dancers Studio policy on stage make-up: If you are going to apply stage make-up, please use the correct colors and the correct method. Dancers must wear this make up or no make up at all. If you are opposed to your dancer wearing stage make-up for any reason then you will be excused from wearing it. Eye Shadows: MAC Brand VANILLA, KNIGHT DIVINE, CARBON Eye Liners: Any brand Black Liquid Eye Liner Mascara: Any Liquid Black Mascara. False Eyelashes: Black False eyelashes. We recommend NYC Brand in Natural as they are the least expensive. Blush: Cover Girl Blush #510 ICED PLUM Lips: Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipstick in ALWAYS SIENNA Non Comp Hair: Low bun with a center part. Do not use a donut or bun maker. Make-up and Hair Instructions If you plan to use liquid foundation, be sure to purchase one that matches your skin color exactly. All competition dancers should wear foundation. Eyes: Apply fake eyelashes first. For rest of eye, please follow picture. Apply lightest shade shadow to entire eyelid up to eyebrow. Apply light grey shadow on lid up to crease. Apply dark shade on lid in triangle shape on outer half. Apply black liquid eyeliner to top and bottom of eye. Blush: Apply liberally to cheek bone. Lipstick: Apply red coloring first. Let dry completely (approximately 4 minutes). After drying period, apply gloss. Non Comp Hair: Low bun with a center part. Do not use a donut or bun maker. Hair must be heavily secured with hairspray without any flyaway's. Instruction video will come before recital. Recital Day Procedure Performers must arrive 20 minutes before show time. Come at the correct time. If you arrive early, we are not ready for you. If you arrive late, we can not hold the show. Arrive dressed in your 1st costume with your hair and make up done. Bring all additional costumes in a garment bag, clearly marked with your name and your dance title. Bring a water bottle and pretzels or crackers only for a snack. No other food or drinks of any kind allowed in the dressing rooms. Do not send toys or unnecessary items as the stage parents have a lot to keep track of. Activities will be provided. Dancers will be escorted to the correct dressing room. Dancers are expected to stay for the entire show and participate in the finale. We need to keep the audience disruptions to a minimum. Please plan to stay seated with the exception of intermission. Video taping is allowed, but no tripods or lights. There are no flash photos allowed. This is a distraction to the dancers and the other people in the audience. Please talk to the young people attending about positive audience behavior. The dancers love applause but Cat Calling and name screaming during the show is not needed. This atmosphere is different then the competition setting. There is no food or drink allowed in the auditorium. Please eat and drink only in the lobby area. Carefully check for all belongings, costume parts and dance shoes before leaving.

11 Recital Helpers Needed!!! Respond by Thursday May 3 GDP must have a small army of help to make the show run smooth and be safe. When parents of our dancers help out at the recitals, this help keeps costs down. Parents care the most and do the best job! Parent involvement is key to success. In past years, we had so many parents wanting to be involved we had to draw names and keep track of who worked the recitals year to year in order to be fair and give everyone a chance! Today with everyone s hectic schedules, getting parents involved is far more challenging. Therefore, we have a new policy implementing parent suggestions and feedback. Rather than raise costs across the board, GDP has a Refundable Recital Participation Fee. Families that are able to get involved and help will receive their participation fee check back at the recital. GDP really needs your help, however, if this year it is not doable, your recital participation fee will be applied. Please make every effort to choose a show to help at as the performers really need you! Please get involved. We are doing our best to fairly collect fees and keep costs down. To be a recital helper, fill out the form below and return to the studio by May 3. Recital helpers work as a team to make the show go smooth. Parents select the show they can help at and GDP assigns the jobs where needed. We all help each other and work as a team. Helpers do not exclusively assist their own dancer, but we work as a team to accomplish all the jobs needed for a great show. Helpers arrive 45 minutes before show and are needed for the entire performance. Helpers do not gets seats in the audience, however, you are excused from your job to watch your child dance. You can view their performance from backstage or along the wall in the auditorium and then return to your position ASAP. Job assignments include but are not limited to: -Girls dressing room stage mom (females only, most job assignments here) -Boys room stage parent (males preferred) -Line up runner -Floating parent -Check in table -Backstage helper -Usher -Ticket taker These are examples of possible jobs. GDP will assign all positions. You will receive an with your job assignment soon. On show day, arrive at your designated time, go to the check in table for your name tag, your recital deposit check and any further instructions. Thank you in advance for making this all possible! 13 Muse Summer Intensive at GDP GDP is so excited to have Jessica Starr and the Muse Dance Company back at our studio! They will be hosting a 3 day super intensive and video shoot! This is required for our elite level competition dancers and open to any serious dancers who are looking to learn new and exciting things for the upcoming dance season! The dance subjects will change daily to incorporate all styles of dance! We will be opening this to GDP students first, then any spaces still available will be open to outside dancers! Sign up according to your age at the intensive. The instructors reserve the right to move the dancers level how they see fit!
