ASKNAKID? You ask the questions, we give you the answers and all the need-to-know info you ve been asking for...and then some. What s the deal with Cinco De Mayo?

OK, in all seriousness, it s a holiday that celebrates the Mexican army s defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

But Cinco De Mayo actually has limited significance in Mexico, since they can drink Coronas and wear sombreros whenever they want. So where can I drink Coronas and wear a sombrero?

4 ASKNAKID? You ask the questions, we give you the answers and all the need-to-know info you ve been asking for...and then some. What s the deal with Cinco De Mayo? Cinco De Mayo is a chance for people who are not Mexican and have probably never been to Mexico to celebrate their Mexican heritage, aka get drunk off Coronas and wear sombreros. OK, in all seriousness, it s a holiday that celebrates the Mexican army s defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, It was the last time an army from another continent invaded the Americas take that, you cheese-eating surrender monkeys! But Cinco De Mayo actually has limited significance in Mexico, since they can drink Coronas and wear sombreros whenever they want. So where can I drink Coronas and wear a sombrero? Sadly, NAKID s midseason party, Cinco De Drinko, has already passed. But no fear another midseason party, for the Thursday folk, is coming up this Saturday! If you don t play on Thursdays, just pay $5 for 6 hours free beer and tons of jello shots. Plus, the theme is drinking games just make sure your sombrero doesn t get in the way of your game. What s a drinking game? A game during which you get to drink sweet, sweet beer. Sadly, the Commonwealth of Virginia is scared of drinking games and made them illegal at bars, citing high-risk alcohol consumption. That s why we play and drink in DC, not in VA! Any game can be turned into a drinking game beerin-hand kickball, Drunken Monopoly, and more. But the best-known NAKID drinking games are flipcup, beer pong (aka Beirut), and drunkball. See for yourself at the party! How do you play flipcup? Two teams stand on opposite sides of a table, facing each other. In front of each person is a cup filled with a certain amount of beer. At the start of the race, the first member of each team taps their cups and then chugs their beer. When finished, place the cup at the edge of the table and try to flip the cup so it s face-down on the table. Keep doing this until the cup is successfully flipped. Once the cup has been flipped, the next person in line goes, and so on until everyone on the team is finished. It s a simple game, but it takes a lot of skill and practice to get really good, as anyone who s played the Two Finger Fanatics can tell you. How do you play beer pong? Two teams of two people each stand on either end of a ping pong table, with 6 cups filled with beer in a triangular formation in front of them. Taking turns, the teammates try to throw a ping pong ball across the table into their opponents cups. When a ball lands in a cup, that team must drink the beer. The first team to eliminate all of their opponents cups win. Just watch out for that e coli in the water cup How do you play drunkball? The game starts much like Beer Pong. Two teams of two start at opposite ends of the table. However, the similarities to Beer Pong end there. One Player on Team A throws the ball and tries to hit Team B s cans (placed at the opposite end of the table from Team A). If he/ she hits the cans the other member of Team A opens and starts drinking from one of his/her team s cans (one can must be finished before moving on to the next). Meanwhile, Team B retrieves the ball and brings it back to their end of the table and says stop. Repeat this until one team finishes all of their beer. The team with the finished beers is declared the winner. NAKID - School Night 4

Kickball Ramblings Your guide to kickball hangovers If you regularly go to the bar after the games, there s a good chance you ve suffered through a hangover the next day.

I ll take a look at the severity levels of hangovers and give an equivalent beer for each level. Level One: You re able to function normally, but you re moving a little slower.

5 Kickball Ramblings Your guide to kickball hangovers If you regularly go to the bar after the games, there s a good chance you ve suffered through a hangover the next day. It s inevitable that if you consume alcohol and engage in drinking games, at one point or another, you re going to feel some negative effects. I ll take a look at the severity levels of hangovers and give an equivalent beer for each level. Level One: You re able to function normally, but you re moving a little slower. You might have a slight headache and may need to up your size at Starbucks. You ll also probably have to pee every hour or so. For many kickballers, this is the standard for the day after. Equivalent Beer: Natural Light - Much like a level one hangover can barely be considered a hangover, Natty Light can barely be considered a beer. Level Two: With a level two hangover, you ll probably hit the snooze button an extra time or two upon waking. You may try to sneak in to work a little late. Inevitably, you ll be really busy at work and the day will drag on at a painfully slow rate. Any plans you may have made for that night seem a lot less appealing than the prospect of just laying down on the couch when you get home. Equivalent Beer: Budweiser - Budweiser catches many people by surprise the next day. Many people are so accustomed to light beer that when we have the real stuff (mild as it can be), we don t handle it so well. Level Three: With level three hangovers, you ll make it into work, but wish that you hadn t. You may start debating whether or not anyone would notice if you took a nap under your desk, and then you start thinking of places where you actually could go to nap. When people inevitably ask you what s wrong, you have to tell them that you may be coming down with a bad cold, because that s a lot less likely to get you fired than telling your boss that you got s*** faced last night. Equivalent Beer: Blue Moon - Blue Moon is the regrettable hookup of beers. Sure, it seemed like a lot of fun at the time, but the next day you realize it was a lot heavier than you thought. Level Four: You manage to lift your head up and realize that you are well past the time when you needed to get up. You manage the energy to grab your phone and call your employer to explain that you re sick and won t be making it in today. Your stomach is not pleased with you at all, and attempts at eating solid food are propositions. Much of the day is spent trying to find the one position to lie in that does not cause your head to ache, and then stay in that position no matter how uncomfortable the rest of your body may be. Equivalent Beer: Yuengling Lager - Nobody seems to realize how bad Yuengling Lager is for hangovers. Do you think its a coincidence that this is the most popular beer in Philadelphia, and Philly sports fans always seem to be pissed off? If you had to live your life through a constant hangover, you d probably be pretty intolerant of your sports teams shortcomings too. Level Five: You re not calling in sick, because the effort of picking up the phone is more than you can bear. Actually, the act of speaking is more than you can bear. It may seem like the act of breathing is more than you can bear. You swear that you re never drinking again, but you really don t think that s even going to be an issue because you don t think you re going to survive the day. When you eventually hear all the stories from the night before, you may wish that you didn t. Equivalent Beer: Pabst Blue Ribbon - PBR was put on this planet simply for the purpose of giving people hangovers. My advice: No matter how cheap it is, drink something else. NAKID - School Night 5

She wins this at least once per season, and she didn t disappoint this time. Announcing that she was going to win the title, she struggled to take pictures of her boobs and her friends boobs with a fancy new camera, and refused to go to another bar, insisting that she needed more beer. We will have tickets on about the 40 yard line (in football terms) and at the 200 level. Now for what you really want to know about the tailgate! We will have beer, soda, food, and water, and we ll try to have the meat ready in advance this time! You ll eat, you ll drink, then you go watch the game.
