As a reminder, the branch can now accept payment by BACS for rallies and trainings. Additionally, cheques may still be accepted. If paying by cheque, then please send cheque and reply sheet by POST only. As normal, there will be NO late entries. Introduce a Friend to Our Branch On Saturday 23rd July we ll be holding the first of our day rallies at Eccleshall and this year we re asking all members to bring a friend, relative or neighbour who may be interested in joining The Pony Club and our branch. This will be completely FREE for both the member and the friend so please do your best to attend and bring someone with you! The day will consist of jumping, flatwork, unmounted games and a treasure hunt on foot and should be a great day. We d also like to hold a picnic so please bring your packed lunch and some cakes, biscuits, crisps etc. that we can all share. Charnes Day Rally Charnes Rally will be held on Wednesday 3rd August and is always popular! Once again, we are offering this rally completely FREE of charge to all our members! This year, along with the usual flatwork, jumping, mounted games etc. we re also having a saddle fitting demonstration and there will be an opportunity for any members to have their saddles refitted (additional charge).

All camp places are now full and parent s meeting has been organised for 27th June 2016, 6.30pm at Baldwin s Gate Primary School.

3 Page 3 North Staffordshire Hunt Pony Club Newsletter Senior Camp 2016 Senior Camp will be held again at Somerford Park from 6th 10th August We are delighted to confirm that for this year s camp every member will benefit from a shared lesson with international 4* event rider Ben Hobday. All camp places are now full and parent s meeting has been organised for 27th June 2016, 6.30pm at Baldwin s Gate Primary School. Please ensure that the balance of monies for camp is paid with this reply sheet Day Camp 2016 Day Camp will be held 29th July to 31st July 2016 and will be hosted courtesy of the Myatt Family at Park House Farm, Ellenhall. Day camp is suitable for all ages and abilities, but more specifically, for those who feel not quite ready for Senior Camp, or maybe those members who may have had a new horse/pony and want to take it slowly. There is no up- per age limit for Day Camp and we can cater for all levels. Every member receives at least four hours of tuition over two days, and the last day running our very friendly competition day. This year we are thrilled to have a marquee supplied by Dove Valley Outdoor Events (just in case of bad weather). We re also going to do a morning s xc training at Ashwood EC If anyone else would like to attend day camp, please pay full amount with this reply sheet ****New**** Mini Medley We re trialling a new rally format, specifically targeted at our up and coming junior members, which we re calling our mini medley! These rallies will run for an hour and a half and will consist of flatwork, show jumping and mounted games, all done in a really fun environment! Once a quarter we ll then hold a mini medley competition and the results from these competitions will count towards the yearly trophies, presented at presentation evening. We feel that these rallies would be best suited to under 12s, please come along and give them a try!

Mounted Rallies contact Julie for more information. These rallies are mainly based around flatwork, show jumping, cross country and dressage. They are suitable for all PC members, and will be targeted towards the riding element of Pony Club Efficiency Tests. Therefore, members will be grouped into similar age and ability. ests_and_achievements/efficiency _tests/ Stable Management Training/Efficiency Tests Stable Management Rallies (un-mounted) These rallies are suitable for ALL PC members, and will be targeted towards the care element of Pony Club Efficiency Tests. Therefore, members will be grouped into similar age and, sessions last for either 1 hour or 2 hours if taking an Achievement Badge. Badges will be studied/tested/awarded at each 2 hour session. tests_and_achievements/ efficiency_tests/ There will be a sliding scale of charges, dependent on the level of tuition required (see reply sheet for details). For younger members, stable management will be run alongside our mounted games sessions as normal. For our members working towards D+, C, C+ and B tests separate sessions will be run in the evening for 1.5hours UPDATE Sessions are moving venues to Lonford Farm and additional sessions for all abilities will also be run alongside mounted rallies, together with the evening sessions TESTS TO BE HELD IN NOVEM- BER Farm Ride, Beach Ride & Treasure/Scavenger Hunt This quarter, we re very pleased to be holding a farm ride, beach ride and treasure/scavenger hunt. The farm ride is a joint venture between our branch and The North Staffs Hunt and will be starting at Park House Farm, Ellenhall, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Myatt, on Sunday 29th August, There will be a BBQ, cakes and hot and cold drinks. This is very reasonably priced at an in advance price of 5 for members and 8 for non-members. However, prices will go up if you pay on the day. By popular request, we are organising a beach ride, which will be open to all members and non members and we d really like it to be a family day out, so bring a picnic, beach games etc. for a fun day out. We re going on Sunday September 11th to Hillbre Island, on The Wirral. Times to be advised later, however, the car park attendant has advised that to use the car park you arrive early and will need two car park tickets. Postcode is CH48 0QG. By kind permission of Mr and Mrs Holman we are also holding a mounted treasure hunt for our members, which will also be free of charge on Saturday October 1st.
