August 20 th 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm Moose Lodge Shallotte This month s letter is my personal plea for your support of the club s largest single fund raising event the Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit the Brunswick Senior Resources. In each of the past two years, we have been able to present a check for $2000 to the organization. With your help we can achieve that level and perhaps go beyond! I realize that chasing a little white ball around the countryside is not everyone s idea of a good time. However, there are a number of ways that you can help. We need volunteers to donate food items for the breakfast we serve, to donate their time for registration, raffle ticket sales and the serving of lunch. If you have an unused item that would make a nice raffle ticket prize, that would be appreciated, too. Our greatest source of revenue at the tournament comes from the hole sponsorships that we solicit. For $50 the hole sponsors receive their name on a sign placed at the tee box at one of the holes on the course. In addition, we will advertise their sponsorship on our web site for one year. If you have a business that would benefit from advertising, please consider a hole sponsorship. Likewise, if you have a family member, friend or neighbor with a business, please ask them if they would consider a sponsorship. Personal sponsorships are welcome, too. Sponsorship forms will be available at this week s dance. Whatever form your support takes, be assured that I, the club and the Senior Resources Center will greatly appreciate it. 5 CSC Road Trip Myrtle Beach Pelicans Game Join us on Thursday, September 8th. This will be the Pelican's final playoff game of the season. Your package will include a buffet served from 6:00-7:30 pm and a ticket to the game for only $23. per person! The menu includes: grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, seasoned chicken quarters, Cole slaw, potato chips, cookies, beverages (soda, tea, & water).
