Mindy Bainbridge joined us on New Year s Eve and is the new bookkeeper in the office. Stacy is showing her the ropes, and I m sure you ll all give her a warm welcome! Most of these are repeat naggings, I mean reminders, but: 1. The following Chapters still owe for their dues receipts that were sent with an invoice back in September: 47 and The following chapters have NOT turned in a year-end financial report that was due by the C&L Deadline of December 1, and now owe a $50 fine: 47, 92, 283, 631, and 637. I REALLY hate having to write this. It s too early in the year to have to be this hardnosed. That being said, I cannot emphasize enough that with the problems we ve had with the IRS, you do NOT want to go up against them by yourself, which is what will have to happen if we don t get this information from you. This report is what we use to file the Group 990 for you. We CANNOT be late as it would give the IRS ammunition to re-revoke our tax-exempt status. PLEASE get this in NOW. If I don t have it by the 15th I will let the WGM know and she will consider what further action to take. 3. Reminder: Per capita this year will be going up $.50, to $19.55; there will be no other changes this year, and the increase will not be revisited until Grand Chapter 2016, so now you ll have a basis for your dues. 4. A blank property report was included in the last communication. It is due in my office by MARCH 1. I cut you all a LOT of slack last year as 2014 was the first year the due date was changed. PLEASE use that form and fill out the dollar amounts. It will make our job that much easier when we have to figure out values for insurance purposes. A PDF version and spreadsheet version are posted to the websites. 5. The C&L and IB updates are just now going to the printer, due to circumstances beyond my control. Hopefully by this time next month I ll have gotten them out and you ll have the cost. 6. Arizona Grand Chapter is looking for a lighted wall star to replace what was lost by a chapter in a fire. I KNOW there are a few chapters with one or more that I m hoping you d be willing to donate! Please me at the office. We ve had six of the eight Secretary/Treasurer workshops so far, and again, I thank you all for your participation. I am encouraged by the number of officers who have attended, and hope to see more of you at the last two in Ventura and Riverside! I am looking forward to seeing you as we race around California!
