Clarification of Online and Tee Time rocedures For those members who book tee times online, please make sure that you block out the remaining spots in the foursome if you are going to fill out a foursome. For example: If you have a threesome and you are going to fill the fourth but do not know exactly who at that time, please add a guest in the fourth space. Once you know who the fourth is, please contact the golf shop and we will add the player. Tee times made online cannot be adjusted. All adjustments to the foursome or group must be made in the golf shop. If those spots are not blocked, members assume that those spots are open. If members would like to add to a group please be sure to notify someone in that group that you have added your name to the group. When tee times are booked in the golf shop the staff had been instructed to ask if they will be filling the foursome or if the spots are open to others looking for a game. One (1) Net Best Ball of Two (2) will be used in all five nine-hole matches. Matches will be played off the low ball. Scoring will be on a point basis, the winner of each flight being the team with the highest number of points accumulated over the 45 holes played. oints are awarded on the basis of holes won or lost in each match. See example following. Three (3) points is the maximum number of points that can be won or lost each match. Each team winning the hole will receive one (1) point; the team losing the hole will lose one (1) point. A hole that is tied will result in zero (0) points. Fore Fun Ladies Golf Wednesday Evenings 6:00 pm Shotguns All players in the Fore Fun Group must have a golf membership, but do not need to me a member of the Women s Golf Association. There will be a fun game each week including first, second and third place winners. Winnings will be in the form of merchandise credits that can be used in the Golf ro Shop. WGA Member- Guest WGA Charity Outing Recap The Women s Golf Association had another successful Charity Tournament on June 9th, thanks to all the wonderful support of our Club s membership. Our Charity this year was The Maria Tiberi Foundation and Mr. Dom Tiberi of WBNS TV, was the featured guest at our delicious luncheon. His wife, Terri, also attended the luncheon and everyone attending was moved by his message. Also attending the luncheon was our Club resident, Mr. Jerry Knott, and his wife, Darra. We had 37 ladies playing golf and 8 non-golfers joining them for the luncheon to hear Mr. Tiberi attending lunch. The weather was fantastic and everyone had a good time. Tables were decorated with floral centerpieces in shades of purple donated by florists from our community. The total amount donated was $4335. This number includes Entry Fees, Charitable Donations, Hole Sponsorships, Raffle Tickets, Mulligans, and participation in the ar 3 Contest. A very special Thank You to our ro Shop Staff and Rian Hassen for their assistance in planning and the execution of this event. Also, we appreciate the support of the merchants at the bottom of the hill, the Worthington Mall, and downtown Worthington, who donated generous Raffle items. We had 33 Raffle items, many also donated by our members. Thank you to everyone for their generous support of this event! Club Championships Signups begin immediately and will end on July 9th. Draws will be posted on July 11th. Once a draw is posted we will not take any more entries. The Finals of the Mixed Open Event will played on Friday, September 5th at 6:00 pm. All other Finals will me Monday, September 7th beginning at 9am and running all day! layers can sign up to play in 1 mixed doubles event, 1 singles event and 1 regular doubles event. There will be firm deadlines for each round to be played. If two players/teams are unable to play their match by the deadline then both teams will be defaulted. Senior League Looking for layers Some of our active seniors (Bill Bickell, Brent DeVore, Jack Folk and Walter Doyle) play tennis on Monday and Friday mornings at 9:00 am. Future Stars Ages 6-9 Mini-nets and special junior training balls will be used which will help children develop their skills and begin rallying. Games and drills will be used to teach strokes and grips along with techniques of footwork. Using junior training equipment, we will introduce the serve with the aim of having the children rally and enjoy the mini-tennis experience! Junior Development Ages 10 & Older Students will transition to regulation sized tennis courts with regulation tennis balls. They will be grouped on the court based on age and ability. The focus will continue to be on stroke and technique development and how to use them in a point situation. Workout in a TEAM environment while challenging yourselves with others to reach your personal fitness goals. Guts and Butts: Everyone loves to hit these target problem areas. This class specifically targets your core and legs to tone and tighten them throughout the workout. Kickboxing: This athletic workout will give you a great workout in just 55 minutes! A combination of challenging punch and kick intervals and strength exercises using a variety of equipment! Kettlebell Training: Works multiple muscle groups while providing a total body workout that will burn fat quickly.
