2 ATHLETIC CLUB ACTIVITIES Multi-Sport Camp for Children This camp will provide an introduction to golf, tennis, swimming, volleyball, basketball and soccer under the instruction of student coaches and energetic camp counselors. Kids will learn basic skills of each sport and be able to improve strength, coordination, self-esteem and motivation throughout the week long sessions. The ball is served underhanded, swinging the paddle below the waist, without bouncing it from the court. The ball is served to the opponent's service zone. Points are scored by the serving side and occur when the opponent faults. The server continues to serve, altering service courts, until server faults. A game is one by the first team which scores 11 points, but must continue until one team achieves a two point margin. 10 AQUATIC NEWS Swim Lessons Improve your fun at the pool by signing up for swim lessons at the Flying Horse Pool with Pikes Peak Athletics quality swim lessons. The small group classes feature experienced instructors with the goal of teaching fun, safety and skill in the water. All lessons are 30 minutes long. The lesson times are outlined below with each half hour based on age and skill level. Level descriptions and class availability can be seen on the website at Private and Semi-private lessons also available with a flexible schedule. The Kids Cabin will remain open until 8:00 pm for the following event: Monday Evenings for Men s Pick-up Basketball and Tennis Tuesday Evening for Chicks With Sticks Thursday Evening for Family Dinner Night Date Night is offered Friday & Saturday nights 7:00-9:00pm while you dine in La Fortezza or the Tack Room. As an added benefit, Monthly Pass holders will not pay an additional charge. If you do not have a Monthly Pass, the fee per hour per child is $3.00. **Reservations are required no later than 12:00pm on the day of the reservation so we can staff appropriately. Based on availability we will accept reservations after this time (Please call the Kids Cabin to confirm). If reservations are not received, the Kids Cabin will close at our normal time. As usual children may stay in the Kids Cabin a maximum of 3 hours in a 24 hour period. We have been approved to take children as young as 6 weeks old. Cost will be $6.00 with a 2 hour time limit and $72.00 for a monthly unlimited pass. Currently the hours for young infant care are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (these hours may expand in the future).
