He added that Excellent Design has had its last start for the stable and would now be exported. General: The following horses were subject to a pre-race veterinary examination due to transport delays following an accident on the M1 motorway and deemed suitable to race: Race 2 Race 3 Race 3 Race 7 Casiraghi (R Davies) True Pride (D Schmidt) Milne Bay (W Dean) Isorich (W Seelin) RACE 1: 2019 Membership Sprint 1100m Chess Star Underwent a veterinary examination after sustaining an abrasion to its nose and was deemed suitable to race. Ronstar A pre-race veterinary examination of the gelding which had sustained a minor abrasion to its near hind pastern passed Ronstar fit to start. Laid out in the middle stages. When questioned App S Weatherley stated with the gelding coming back in distance today it did not travel comfortable with the fast early tempo. He stated in his view Ronstar would now benefit from a step up in distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have aggravated a wound on its near hind pastern. Trainer Mr G Portelli agreed with the views expressed by S Weatherley and advised he would notify the Stewards if anything was amiss with Ronstar in the days subsequent to the race. Roheryn Stewards opened an inquiry into J Parr's handling of the colt having regard to his riding in the early and middle stages of the event. Stewards expressed concern with J Parr's handling in that in the middle stages Roheryn lost touch with the leading division of the race. J Parr stated his instructions were from its wide draw to ride the colt where comfortable, but the stable had anticipated Roheryn would settle towards the rear of the field, similar to the manner in which it was ridden at its previous start. He added that in the early stages he was positioned to the outside and behind Beidi and whilst he had contemplated maintaining a position to that runners outside, he elected to allow Roheryn to settle behind Beidi when G Schofield rider of Beidi elected to maintain a one-off line. He said the decision to do so was to avoid racing three wide and without cover. He further stated that throughout the early and middle stages of the race he had formed the view that the tempo of the event was fast and that his mount as a result never travelled comfortably and was racing at its top throughout the early and middle stages of the event. He said for this reason he was reluctant to place Roheryn under pressure to endeavour to make up ground on the leading division as in his view this would be detrimental to the colts' chances. J Parr added that from inside the 600m he commenced to urge his mount along whilst still racing behind Beidi and that on straightening he placed the colt under full pressure whereby it commenced to improve into the event. J Parr further added that whilst placing his mount under full pressure he had expected, with the

2 2 fast tempo, that the leaders would commence to give ground but when they did not Roheryn found it difficult to make up sufficient ground on the winner Chess Star. J Parr was further question in respect to his contact with his riding agent regarding today's race. Stewards examined J Parr's phone to ascertain what communication he had with his riding agent leading up to today's race. Trainer Mr J Cummings confirmed the nature of his instructions and advised that he expected Roheryn to take up a rearward position. He stated that he concurred with the view of J Parr in that Roheryn was unsuited by the fast early tempo and expressed general satisfaction with J Parr's handling of the colt from the 800m as he was of the view the colt was racing at its top during that section of the race and it would not have been in the colt's best interest to place under pressure at that point. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. After considering the evidence the inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed. Heart Conquered Raced keenly in the early stages. Beidi A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Pembroke Castle Began awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with Ronstar. Soon after the start was steadied when crowded by Chess Star (A Hyeronimus) which shifted in when not clear. A Hyeronimus was advised to ensure he is two lengths clear when shifting ground. RACE 2: Summer Racing Handicap 2400m Casiraghi Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. The Bandit Raced keenly in the middle stages and was obliged to race without cover for some distance through that section of the race. RACE 3: TAB Highway Handicap 1100m I Am Capitan For some distance after the 800m raced in restricted room to the inside of Our Rosemaree which was taken in by True Pride (B Stower). B Stower was reprimanded and advised to leave sufficient racing room to the runners on her inside. Iamacrumpet Was a late withdrawal at 12.03pm due to transport difficulties. Tigers Image From the 600m hung out. Fair Dinkum Shortly after the start was hampered and taken out onto Tigers Image by True Pride which shifted out. Milne Bay Raced wide and without cover throughout. Hung out under pressure in the straight and as a result could not be fully tested by G Schofield in his usual vigour. Tully Toff Briefly held up near the 300m. Yousay Bolt Trainer Mr R Stubbs was interviewed on 16 November 2018 relative to a media report that the mare had sustained a mild joint sprain to its off-fore fetlock following its win at Benalla on the 28 September Mr Stubbs advised Yousay Bolt was given a brief letup before resuming work where it pleased the stable leading into today's race. A veterinary examination of Yousay Bolt passed the mare suitable to start. Mr Stubbs was reminded of his obligation under AR140(a) to inform Stewards of any condition which may have affected a horse's performance in the lead up to a race. True Pride Raced wide and without cover throughout. Sanctuary Cove Raced wide and without cover throughout. Caccini Began awkwardly. Revitup Rednut Made contact with its offside barrier partition and became unbalanced. Leaving the 700m Revitup Rednut which was inclined to race keenly, was steadied from the heels of I Am Capitan. RACE 4: November Topaz 1900m Sense Of Occasion Was a late withdrawal at 1.31pm due to transport difficulties.

3 3 Exoteric When questioned rider T Berry stated that in his view Exoteric did not appreciate racing to the inside of other horses and in addition with its increase in benchmark rating found it difficult to finish the race off as compared to its last start where the gelding carried 53.5kg. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up on the post-race condition of Exoteric in the days subsequent. Articus Was a late withdrawal at 1.31pm due to transport difficulties. Abdon Stewards permitted B Avdulla to ride the gelding 1.0kg over its allotted weight of 53kg. From the wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly in the middle stages. In the straight was inclined to lay in. Naval Warfare Hung out on the home turn. Was inclined to lay in over the final 150m. RACE 5: November Handicap 1400m Snippets Land Slow to begin. Rider T Angland stated that his instructions were to ride the gelding quietly to ensure that if he made his run to the outside to make sure that the gelding had clear uninterrupted running in the straight. He said for this reason at the start from his inside gate he elected to drift back in the field to ensure he was able to position his mount to the outside on straightening whereby Snippets Land finished the race off well. Oxford Poet When questioned rider T Clark stated that the gelding was stepping up from 1100m to 1400m and was able to travel in the lead comfortably but in his opinion its condition resulted in it giving ground over the final 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. My Nordic Hero Slow to begin. Tougherthantherest Hung out rounding the home turn. Just Dreaming Was a late withdrawal at 1.40pm due to transport difficulties. Passage Of Time A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Dagny Jumped awkwardly. RACE 6: TAB.COM.AU Handicap 1500m Suncraze J Van Overmeire advised his instructions were to be more forward today with the gelding stepping up in distance. He said in the early stages after jumping well he elected to position himself to the outside of Dissolution with the view of following that horse across when it shifted in towards the rail. He said that when Dissolution remained wide on the track, he was caught wide and without cover and at this point considered shifting in behind Dissolution to obtain cover however was unable to do as Le Juge improved to his inside. He added as a consequence he was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event however his mount was still disappointing in the manner in which it finished its race off. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to making a prominent upper respiratory noise on return to the mounting yard otherwise there were no other abnormalities detected. Trainer Ms M O'Gorman confirmed she had instructed J Van Overmeire to take up a midfield position. She added that Suncraze had displayed a respiratory issue previously which she had rectified with a tongue tie but as a result of today's performance Suncraze would now be spelled. Ms O'Gorman was advised to report back if anything was amiss with Suncraze in the days subsequent. Souchez After being slightly slow to begin was bumped by Arraignment which shifted in. Drochaid Was a late withdrawal at 12.25pm when trainer J Cummings advised that the gelding had swelling to its off foreleg. Mr Cummings was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to its next race start. Mutarakem Near the 1000m when inclined to race keenly was steadied when crowded by Notio which after improving to the inside of Dissolution (C Reith) was taken in by that runner. C Reith was reprimanded and advised he must ensure to leave two lengths to his inside for runners. Le Juge Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Hung in in the straight.

4 4 Watchdog A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Mr J Cummings was advised that under the provisions of AR53A Watchdog would now be subject to the relevant embargoes. RACE 7: Rosehill Bowling Club Sprint 1100m Badajoz From the wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Strathmore From the wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Sir Plush From the wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. My Favorite Rider C Brown stated that after applying pressure to his mount in the early part of the straight it blundered on several occasions near the 300m. For this reason, he did not fully test My Favorite to the finish of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Trainer Mr J Pride was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to My Favorite racing again. Dissolute Stewards permitted J Parr to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allotted weight of 55.5kg. Slow to begin. Near the 800m became unbalanced when it shifted out away from the running rail and as a consequence made contact with Sir Plush which became momentarily unbalanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying cardiac arrythmia. Trainer Mr G McFarlane was advised a veterinary clearance including an ECG would be required prior to Dissolute having to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before being permitted to race again. Nictock Raced wide and without cover from 800m. R Dolan could offer no excuse for the disappointing performance other than in his view Nictock may be better suited to be ridden back in the field having regard to the manner in which it finished the race off at Canterbury on 26 October 2018 when it settled back in the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 8: Australian Turf Club Sprint 1200m Invictum Domina When questioned rider C Reith advised his intention was to be forward on the mare but when he felt he did not have sufficient speed to cross Leami Astray in the early stages he elected to take a trailing position behind Seasons in the early stages to avoid being caught wide without cover. Nicci's Gold After being slow to begin was then crowded by Seahampton and Seasons which shifted out. Deft Near the 1000m was bumped by Invictum Domina (C Reith) when that runner took up a position one off behind Seasons. C Reith was advised to exercise more care. Laid out in the straight. Ready To Prophet Slow to begin. Rider R King reported that although disappointed for clear running in the early part of the straight the filly was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish the race off. A postrace veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up on the post-race condition of Ready To Prophet with Co-Trainer Mr A Bott in the days subsequent. Alliterate Was a late withdrawal at 12.03pm due to transport difficulties. RACE 9: #Theraces Handicap 1300m Asterius Slow to begin and was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Near the 250m was shifted to the inside of Sparky Lad to continue into clear running and over the concluding stages could not be tested when held up on the heels of Monsieur Sisu. Generalissimo Near the 1100m blundered. Mapmaker Raced wide and without cover throughout. Catesby Cast its near-fore plate en route to the barriers necessitating it having to be re-plated. Catesby was examined by the Club's Official Veterinarian and deemed suitable to race. Southern Lad Began awkwardly and was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1000m ran in abruptly and hampered Asterius.

5 5 Sweet Deal Stewards permitted T Angland to ride the mare 0.5kg over its allotted weight of 55.5kg. Jumped awkwardly. The Pharoah Raced keenly in the middle stages. Monsieur Sisu Was inclined to lay in in the early part of the straight. Summary of whip use: Stewards noted the following riders exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m under AR137A(5)(a)(ii). Bearing in mind the totality of whip use, no action was taken. Race 5: Snippet's Land, Oxford Poet, Dagny, My Nordic Hero. Race 6: The Getaway, Mutarakem, Notio, Arraignment. Race 7: My Favorite, Dissolute, Tango Rain(2), Nictock, Isaurian. Race 8: Hussterical, Seasons, Ready To Prophet, Alliterate, Nicci's Gold. Race 9: Newsfan, Asterius, Generalissimo, Sparky Lad, Catesby.
