Co-trainer Mr A. Bott was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to that mare being permitted to race again. RACE 7: Hyland Race Colours Handicap 1400m Thunder Pace A post-race veterinary examination conducted this morning by the Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer identified no lameness. RIDING CHANGES: As A. Adkins was indisposed due to illness, Stewards permitted the following rider replacements: Race 1: War Baron A. Hyeronimous Race 2: Foxie La Belle W. Costin Race 4: The Bandit J. Innes Jnr Race 7: Test The World A. Hyeronimous Race 8: Zidane LATE SCRATCHING Trainer Ms L. Wray was fined $200 for the late withdrawal of Zidane at 7.41am RACE 1: Member Get Member Handicap 1200m: Sebrakate On jumping was hampered when crowded by Deterge, which, after shifting in slightly, was taken in by Aeecee Vinco. When questioned, rider J. Van Overmeire stated that his instructions were to take up a handy position, but after being slow to begin and crowded soon after, he settled further back than anticipated. He added that throughout the middle stages he elected to remain racing wide and without cover to the outside of Elon to ensure that his mount maintained a comfortable rhythm as it was travelling well. He said that whilst he contemplated obtaining cover behind Elon, he believed this would have disadvantaged his mount, particularly on today's heavy track conditions. He added that under pressure in the straight Sebrakate commenced to lay in under pressure near the 200m and as a consequence he changed his whip to his right hand and in doing so accidentally dropped it at that point. Stewards advised J. Van Overmeire that wherever possible he should avoid covering unnecessary ground. Aeecee Vinco A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt had been galloped on on the off-foreleg.

2 WFM 2 Deterge When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider J. McDonald stated that the colt raced a little keenly, but moreover, he was of the view that Deterge did not handle today's heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Deterge to be displaying a poor post-race recovery. Trainer J. Cummings was asked to provide a veterinary clearance prior to the colt's next race start War Baron When question regarding his riding over the concluding stages, rider A. Hyeronimous stated that War Baron was inclined to race greenly under pressure in the straight and inside the 50m was inconvenienced when Sebrakate shifted out. He said that over the concluding stages he stopped riding to straighten his mount when it shifted out. After considering his explanation, the Stewards advised A. Hyeronimous that wherever possible he must continue to ride his mounts out, however, on this occasion accepted his evidence in respect to the difficulties he was having on the colt. Elon Jumped awkwardly. Girls Are Ready When questioned regarding the filly racing more forward, rider J. Taylor advised that her instructions were to find cover, but today Girls Are Ready jumped better than expected and as a result was able to follow the leader Aeecee Vinco, which resulted in Girls Are Ready racing more forward. Empires Collide Was slow to begin. RACE 2: TAB Highway Handicap 1600m: Hemmerle W. Costin (Foxie La Belle) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that near the 950m she permitted her mount to shift in when not clear of Blue Collar Boy, resulting in Blue Collar Boy being taken across the running of Hemmerle, which lost its rightful running and was checked. W. Costin's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Tuesday 1 January 2019 and to expire on Saturday 5 January 2019, on which day she may ride. After being held up in the early part of the straight, was shifted to the outside of Saarim near the 250m to obtain a narrow run between that runner and Footmark. In this incident Hemmerle and Footmark made contact, resulting in both runners becoming unbalanced. Moobi Prior to the declaration of correct weight, after Stewards identified from the inquiry room that jockey G. Ryan had struck his horse on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, they then viewed the patrol films to ascertain whether Moobi had gained an advantage that resulted in it winning the race. When Stewards were not satisfied that Moobi had gained an advantage, in accordance with AR168(2) having regard to the margin of a short head between 1 st and 2 nd, they therefore declined to exercise their powers under AR137A(9) and did not proceed with lodging a formal objection. Close to the winning post Hemmerle, which was inclined to shift out over the concluding stages, made contact with Moobi, resulting in Moobi becoming unbalanced slightly. Rider G. Ryan pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137A (5)(a)(ii) in that prior to the 100m he used the whip on nine occasions. G. Ryan's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Tuesday 1 January 2019 at the conclusion of a suspension he incurred at Scone on 14 December, and to expire on Tuesday 8 January 2019, on which day he may ride. Stewards also issued a fine of $500. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account G. Ryan's poor record regarding whip use and that Moobi won the event by a short head. Footmark A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormality. Blue Collar Boy From its wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Near the 100m, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid the heels of Tag And Release, which shifted out slightly. Tag And Release Near the 950m was checked to avoid the heels of Hemmerle. Foxie La Belle When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider W. Costin stated that whilst she had to make use of her mount to take up a forward position, in her opinion Foxie La

3 WFM 3 Belle raced like a horse that had reached the end of its preparation in that it was under pressure from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr T. Robinson confirmed that Foxie La Belle will now be spelled. Tiara Road From the 900m was obliged to race wide and without cover. RACE 3: Summer Racing Handicap 1000m: Revenire From its wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Ghostly From its wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Lucy Rose Overraced throughout the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer J. Cleary was advised that under the provisions of AR53A Lucy Rose would not be permitted to work on a racecourse for a period of two months, not be permitted to race for a period of three months and must either barrier trial or gallop to the satisfaction of the Stewards before its next race start. Difficult To Get On straightening was steadied and sifted to the outside of Lucy Rose to obtain clear running. Alart In the early stages raced wide and without cover. Phuket Was slow to begin. Was held up in the early part of the straight from a position close to the heels of Difficult To Get. RACE 4: 2019 Membership Handicap 2110m: Follow Suit On jumping, Follow Suit and The Getaway were hampered when crowded between Mutarakem and Naval Warfare, which was taken out by Beijing Board. Beijing Board When questioned regarding the gelding leading. Rider A. Hyeronimous stated that his intention was to take a position with cover, but after the gelding commenced well and raced keenly in the early stages he was obliged to lead. Solo Mission Rounding the home turn commenced a narrow run to the inside of Beijing Board as that runner commenced to give ground, and then was taken in slightly by Mutarakem. Solo Mission then was crowded for a number of strides near the 400m before obtaining clear running on straightening. Keep Up Stewards permitted rider J. Collet to ride the gelding 1kg over its allotted weight of 53kgs. From its wide barrier was shifted in behind runners. From the 900m raced wide and without cover when it commenced to improve. When questioned regarding the performance, rider J. Collett stated that after settling towards the rear of the field he commenced a mid-race move near the 800m, but the gelding failed to respond to his riding from that point. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Keep Up to be displaying thumps. Trainer Ms C. Cunningham undertook to report back on the future race plans of the gelding. The Bandit Near the 1800m was steadied from the heels of Araaja (J. Parr), which shifted in when not quite clear. J. Parr was advised to exercise more care. When questioned regarding the performance, rider J. Innes stated that the gelding failed to travel at any stage of the event and he felt the gelding was not comfortable in today's heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr R. Freedman concurred with the views of J. Innes that The Bandit did not handle today's heavy track conditions and undertook to report back on the condition of the gelding in the days subsequent.

4 WFM 4 RACE 5: Events by ATC Handicap 1600m: Green Sweet In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 1200m was steadied from the heels of Dalmatia Prince. Over the concluding stages could not be tested when disappointed for a run between Intueri and Astoria. Monsieur Sisu Over the concluding stages shifted out under pressure. C'est Davinchi Was slow to begin. Rider C. Brown advised that in his view the gelding did not handle today's heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Chalk A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. RACE 6: TAB Rewards Handicap 1400m: Strome Was slow to begin. Velocita Rider T. Berry stated that he had concerns with the mare's action in the straight and for this reason did not fully test his mount to the finish of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Velocita to be slow to recover. Trainer Mr C. Waller advised that Velocita would be spelled. So Magic Rider J. Taylor advised that she initially felt the mare was not handling today's heavy track conditions, but in the straight became concerned with its action and consequently eased So Magic down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be slow to recover. Stewards advised trainer Mr J. Coyle that should no veterinary issue become apparent with So Magic in the days subsequent, having regard to the mare's beaten margin of 23 lengths it would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before being permitted to race again Bella Success Linking up with the course proper at the 800m ran out and became unbalanced. Rider J. McDonald stated that the only explanation he could offer for the mare's performance was that it had difficulty being competitive in Saturday grade. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame (1/5) in the near-foreleg. Trainer Mr C. Waller advised that he now intended to freshen up Bella Success. RACE 7: December Handicap 1400m: Pecans Rider App. S. Weatherley stated that whilst he was able to take up a customary forward position, the mare raced one paced throughout the event and did not quicken when asked to improve in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr J. Pride stated that whilst Pecans has raced competitively on wet tracks in the past, that had been in lower grade. He said today with the mare carrying the top weight he felt that Pecans was not able to quicken on the rain-affected going and attributed this principally to the reason the mare did not finish off as expected. Mr Pride undertook to report back to the Stewards if anything becomes amiss with Pecans in the days subsequent to the race. Sir Plush Rider C. Brown stated that whilst the gelding raced without cover and travelled well, he was most disappointed with its lack of finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer's representative Mr J. Bruce undertook to report back on the condition of the gelding in the days subsequent to the race. Sir Bacchus Was slow to begin. Test The World - Stewards permitted rider A. Hyeronimous to ride the mare 1kg over its allotted weight of 53kgs. Rider A. Hyeronimous stated that Test The World raced a little keenly in the early stages but was able to obtain cover leaving the 1000m whereby the mare was able to settle better. He said that after improving into a competitive position near the 200m Test The World was disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer's representative Mr J. Bruce undertook to report back on the condition of the mare in the days subsequent to the race.

5 WFM 5 Catesby Jumped awkwardly. Rider J. Duggan stated that her intention was to lead on the gelding today, if possible. She said that her mount began awkwardly and as Catesby can race fiercely she was reluctant to ride it along in the early stages, which allowed Pecans and Test The World to cross Catesby in the early stages. She added that once Conarchie crossed to the lead she was able to secure a position to that runner's outside near the 700m. RACE 8: TAB Handicap 1300m: Kapajack jumped awkwardly, resulting in its rider B. Ryan becoming unbalanced. When placed under pressure in the straight was inclined to shift in near the 150m, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount. Skyray shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Lilith A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up on the future race plans for the filly. Charretera Inside the 300m was held up for clear running between Let's Party Marty and Kapajack and could not be tested until near the 100m. Over the concluding stages Emshalky and Charretera were hampered when crowded by Kapajack (B. Ryan), which, after being taken in by Skyray, then shifted in away from that runner. Sure Knee After improving to the inside of Lilith near the 600m was steadied when briefly crowded when Lilith shifted in slightly. Emshalky From the 150m was held up and could not be fully tested over the concluding stages. RACE 9: Australian Turf Club Handicap 1200m: Dissolute From its wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Was inclined to overrace in the middle stages. Coonawarra A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Intuition Over the final 200m raced in restricted room between Viceroy and Bon Amis, which shifted out slightly. Viceroy Over the final 100m raced tight to the inside of Redouble, which shifted in slightly. Bel Sonic Was slow to begin. Summary of whip use: Stewards noted the following riders exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m under AR137A(5)(a)(ii). Bearing in mind the totality of whip use, no action was taken. Race 5 Intueri T. Berry 7 strikes Race 5 Chalk B. Cray 7 strikes Race 7 Sir Bacchus T.
