Then proved difficult to load which delayed the start further. Eased from the start before settling mid-field with cover. Modda Miss - commenced awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg and had cast its near fore plate in running and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Trainer Mr Jamie Edwards advised the mare would now be retired. Za Za Zapour - raced keenly in the early stages and approaching the crossing near the 1700m had to be steadied off the heels of An Capall Mor when the tempo slackened. Fulmineus - over-raced in the early stages. An Capall Mor - lost its off fore plate in running. Race 2 - Jack Rabbit Vineyard Maiden Plate metres: Stryke Of Divine - was reluctant to proceed to the barriers which delayed the start by approximately three minutes. Slow to begin. Everybody Dance - slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Rider Liam Riordan stated he was instructed to ride the filly back with cover but could offer nothing further regarding the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities other than a slower than normal recovery. Ruw The Day - commenced awkwardly and shifted out hampering Overdressed. Overdressed - hampered at the start between Avalon Lad and Ruw The Day. Passing the 400m had to be steadied off the heels of Avalon Lad that was under pressure. Rider Jye McNeil stated the filly was under pressure throughout and never comfortable. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Avalon Lad - shortly after the start shifted in and bumped Overdressed becoming unbalanced. The Peninsular - raced wide through the early stages before settling outside the leader.

3 Race 3 - No Fuss Event Hire 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate metres: Brave Lady - commenced awkwardly and shifted out contacting Mississippi Grind. Mississippi Grind - hampered at the start by Brave Lady that shifted out. Khulekani - slow to begin. Shortly after passing the 600m, knuckled and became unbalanced when racing neat inside of Red Velvet Swing. The Wild Wild West - tightened shortly after the start between Canny Alice and Moon Drops that shifted in. Moon Drops - raced wide through the early stages before settling outside the leader. Rider Linda Meech reported the filly may have come to the end of her preparation. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities other than a slow recovery. Melsan - rider Ben Thompson reported the filly laid in under pressure in the straight. Gibberish - raced four wide without cover. Rider Ben Allen reported the filly had a respiratory abnormality. Race 4 - Pro Ride Racing Maiden Plate metres: Saxophone - connections advised would be ridden back; settled mid-field. Altro Mondo - began awkwardly. Looksy No Touchy - commenced awkwardly before being hampered by Everybodys Gal that shifted in. Tups Endeavour - raced keenly in the early stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. High Journey - raced wide without cover from the 800m. Bonville (NZ) - raced wide without cover. Southern Buccaneer - held up from the entrance to the straight until approaching the 200m. Race 5 - Ritchie Bros Auctioneers BM58 Handicap metres: Abide - connections advised it was the intention to lead; settled one out, one back. Volcan De Fuego (NZ) - marginally slow to begin.

4 The Tinker - marginally slow to begin. Swiss Craft - marginally slow to begin. When under pressure, shifted in approaching the 100m and then had to be checked off the heels of Abide, which also shifted out slightly at this stage. Bryanna - eased at the start from its wide draw. Rock Icon - raced wide without cover. Quedoutes - settled behind the leader; rider Jye McNeil reported the gelding began well and settled more forward than anticipated. Highballing - rider Beau Mertens reported the gelding had a respiratory abnormality. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 6 - Viatek BM64 Handicap metres: Zagaya - connections advised would be ridden further forward; settled outside the leader. Grey Sambucca - stood flat footed and was slow to begin (two lengths). Serendipitious - commenced awkwardly. Notable Choice - slow into stride. Sayonaramosa (NZ) - raced wide without cover. Mr In Between - held up from the 450m until shifting out over the heels of Notable Choice to obtain clear running from the 250m. When asked to explain his ride today, rider John Allen stated he was instructed to ride his mount where comfortable and after beginning fairly he didnt want to urge along in the early stages in an effort to get the gelding to settle. He further explained that near the 800m, he could have shifted out and followed Sayonaramosa (NZ), however Notable Choice improved on his outside, placing him in a pocket for some distance. John Allen explained that on straightening he was caught inside the heels of Notable Choice and had to ease his mount and shift out to obtain clear running in the straight where in his opinion his mount was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities other than a slow recovery. Race 7 - Shojun Concrete F&M BM64 Handicap metres: Cataleya - underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was passed suitable to race. Raced wide without cover. Rider Brian Werner stated he was under pressure some distance from the finish and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Mamzelle Tess - commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Mambo Italiano - commenced awkwardly. Race 8 - Bendigo Bank BM70 Handicap metres: Flying Aurora - slow to begin. Micks Hustler - slow into stride. Apprentice Liam Riordan was fined $200 under the provisions of AR137(b) for failing to ride his mount out for the final stride of the race. In assessing the matter, Stewards could not be fully satisfied his actions affected the final placings. Super Mover (NZ) - commenced awkwardly. Approaching the 600m had to be eased to avoid the heels of Castle Hackett (NZ) that had in turn been checked. Experienced some difficulty obtaining clear running in the straight. Castle Hackett (NZ) - marginally slow to begin before being hampered by Super Mover (NZ) that shifted in. Approaching the 600m, when over-racing and due to the tempo slackening, had to be checked to avoid the heels of Gee Whizzer. Shortly after straightening and when under pressure, had to be momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of Micks Hustler (Liam Riordan) that shifted out; rider Liam Riordan was reprimanded and spoken to advisedly. Macrobius - eased from the start from its wide draw. Heza Dude - raced wide through the early stages before crossing to obtain the lead. Rider Patrick Moloney reported that after beginning well and due to the lack of speed, he elected to ride forward. Solsay - raced wide without cover. Gigi Girl - raced wide without cover. Macrobius - apprentice Trent Germaine was fined $200 under the provisions of AR145 for returning to scale in excess of a half a kilogram over his declared riding weight.
