Race 1 - Blue Star Group Handicap metres: Ardra Storm - bounded at the start. When over-racing at the 1000m had to be checked severely to avoid the heels of Invictum Domina when the tempo steadied. Lovani - had to steady out across the heels of Wasabi at the 1000m as the tempo steadied. Passing the 400m, stumbled and became unbalanced. Laid out over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

2 Fille Champagne - had to steady at the 1000m to avoid the heels of Lovani which shifted out. Then became unbalanced and raced wide before settling outside Lovani passing the 800m. Macattack - had to steady at the 1000m to avoid the heels of Ardra Storm. Race 2 - Yarramalong Racing Club Handicap metres: Casque - tightened for room at the start by Shot At The Reward which was taken in by Capannello which had shifted in after beginning awkwardly. Capannello - began awkwardly and shifted in. Fairly Crafty - steadied at the 400m when crowded for room between Invincible Al and Mr Sneaky which both shifted ground slightly. Invincible Al - held up for clear running from the 500m until shifting to the outside passing the 200m. The track was upgraded from Good 4 to Good 3 at 1.44pm after the running of this race. Race 3 - Argyle Maintenance Handicap metres: Crystal Dreamer - began awkwardly and was tightened for room by Dance With Fontein which shifted in. Amadeus - hampered at the start between Amadeus which shifted out and Kentucky Flyer which had been taken in. Lost its off fore plate in running. Big Reel - had to be steadied passing the 100m to avoid the heels of Amadeus (Beau Mertens); Beau Mertens was advised to exercise more care. Race 4 - Ridgeview Park Thoroughbred Stud Handicap metres: Rokeby Red - raced erratically in the early stages. Firebird Flyer (NZ) - taken out off its course approaching the 600m by Vandancer (Katelyn Mallyon) which shifted quickly to the outside of Rokeby Red; Katelyn Mallyon was advised to exercise more care. Tears Of Joy - when questioned regarding his tactics, rider Michael Walker explained he was instructed to ride towards the rear of the field and for this reason he was negative in the early stages. He added that his mount over-raced with the addition of winkers and in hindsight he would have preferred to allow his mount to stride forward however he was

3 mindful of his instructions. Trainer Mr Mark Kavanagh confirmed the instructions and said that the mare appreciates a softer track and will now be spelled. Domino Vitale - rider Damien Oliver reported that he found himself further back than anticipated and the mare did not appreciate racing amongst other horses today. He added that when the pace quickened approaching the straight he was left flat footed and failed to run on in the straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Ashlee Marie - rider Craig Newitt was of the opinion his mount may have had some minor heat stress. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 5 - Swettenham Stud Summer Championship Heat metres: Inspector - underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was passed suitable to race. When questioned, regarding his tactics, rider Dean Yendall explained that after being caught wide in the early stages and as there was no early pace, he allowed his mount to stride forward and take up the lead near the 900m. Sovereign Nation - slow to begin. Extra Zero - slow to begin. Rider Jack Martin reported his mount felt amiss. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 6 - Ladbrokes up for the Challenge Handicap metres: Castle Hackett - hung out rounding the home turn and in the straight. Villopoto - steadied at the 300m to avoid the heels of Black Sheep (NZ) (Ben Allen) which had shifted in slightly; Ben Allen was advised to exercise more care. Aurum Spirit - shifted out across heels passing the 300m to obtain clear running. Rewarding Effort - when questioned regarding his tactics today, rider Mark Zahra explained that he was given no specific instructions other than to attempt to jump well and after having done so, he found himself further forward than anticipated and therefore elected to take advantage of the situation by settling in a handy position. Mark Zahra was fined $300 for failing to ride his mount out fully approaching the end of the race after it was established that he had looked to his inside nearing the 50m and stopped riding for a number of strides before then riding his mount to the line. Race 7 - OTI Racing Handicap metres: Shikarpour (IRE) - connections advised would be ridden more forward; settled forward of mid-field.

4 Refectory (IRE) - stood flat footed and was slow to begin and must now gain further approval in a jump out prior to racing again. Raced three wide without cover from the 1400m. Taken out off its course at the 800m by Zourkhan (IRE) (Damien Oliver) which shifted out. Hes A Genius (NZ) - held up for clear running from the 600m until shifting back to the inside passing the 400m. Yogi (NZ) - rider Jack Hill reported his mount would be better suited on a track with more give and with the addition of blinkers and may be at the end of its preparation. Trainer Mr Darren Weir confirmed the gelding would now be spelled. Zourkhan (IRE) - rider Damien Oliver reported his mount would appreciate a track with more give. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 8 - Le Pine Funerals Handicap metres: Mr Optimistic - crowded for room at the start by Tango Rock which was taken in by Pure Addiction. Over-raced through the early and middle stages. Hunting Hill - steadied passing the 1100m to avoid the heels of Downhearted. Weakened in the straight by rider Craig Newitt who reported the gelding felt amiss in its action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Tango Rock - rider Mark Zahra stated his mount would be better suited on a track with more give. It was established that near the 700 metres, as the field raced onto the course proper, Elles Maneuver became awkwardly placed when racing to the inside of Redwood City, which shifted in and away from Domesticated, and at the same time Delicious Irony, which was racing to the inside, shifted out marginally resulting in Elles Manuver, after being tightened, clipping heels before knuckling and dislodging its rider. In all the circumstances the Stewards could not be fully satisfied that any one rider was fully to blame for the incident and no action was taken. Race 5 - AUST FORCES VIETNAM 0-58 HANDICAP metres:

6 Strathbyrne - trainer Ms Shay Keating pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR80F(1) in that she stabled the mare at a location that was not her registered training establishment in the days leading up to the event. Ms Keating was fined $400.
