Passing the 600m was hampered by Mallan No More which dipped and became unbalanced. Performed below market expectations. Rider Beau Mertens stated in his opinion the filly which was having its first race start today will be better suited when stepping up in distance. Rounding the home turn was hampered and carried wider by Mallan No More which shifted out after knuckling. Rider Jason Benbow stated that after being hampered and carried wider rounding the home turn his mount failed to respond to his riding in the home straight and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Bounty Belle Commenced awkwardly. Crisalli Approaching the 600m raced up onto the heels of Tattinger and was steadied.

3 Mallan No More Raced wide without cover. Knuckled badly near the 500m, then shifted wider on the track. Rider Chelsea MacFarlane stated that after knuckling badly near the 500m she felt something may have gone amiss with the mare and for this reason she eased the mare down in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer Jane Duncan will be contacted in the coming days to check if any matter has arisen which may have affected the performance. Race 3 ladbrokes odds boost bm64 handicap (1) metres: Nimbostratus (NZ) Resaddled upon arrival at the barriers resulting in a delay to the start of the race. Performed below market expectations. Rider Melissa Julius stated that her mount travelled well during the early and middle stages however failed to respond to her riding in the home straight and was inclined to hang out. She further added that in her opinion the gelding may be better suited on softer track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Raced wide in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward by its rider to obtain the lead near the 1400m. Northern Soul Shifted out on jumping. Top Of The Bunch Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the 500m until passing the 300m. Passing the 300m shifted out to obtain clear running and in doing so bumped with Two Hats on two occasions. Ingenious Raced keenly in the early stages before being permitted to stride around the field to obtain a forward position passing the 1500m. Performed below market expectations. Rider Dean Yendall could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. From the 1900m to the 1600m raced extremely ungenerously getting its head in the air and proved difficult to ride.

Hung out rounding the home turn. Corporate Takeover Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until the 300m. Seulamont - Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Supreme Harmony (NZ) Raced wide without cover before being allowed to stride forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200m. Passing the 400m laid in across the heels of Blonde Russian which shifted out slightly and was checked. Passing the 300m again laid in and was steadied to avoid the heels of Blonde Russian. Rider Patrick Holmes explained that the gelding raced very greenly throughout and felt uncomfortable in its action pulling up. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Watchdog Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until passing the 400m. Prevailing Winds Approaching the 800m when racing keenly had to be eased to avoid the heels of Crash Cranach. Performed below market expectations. Rider Damian Lane stated in his opinion the colt was not suited by the slow tempo of todays event. Our Mallee Hoff Raced keenly in the early stages. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until approaching the 400m. Onya Keithy Passing the 1400m was steadied to avoid the heels of Dangle Lad (Jordan Childs) which shifted in. Jordan Childs was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Rising Hope - Performed below market expectations. Shortly after the start was steadied when tightened for room by Mio Dio which was carried out by Demonstrate and Thermal Current, which shifted in marginally. Tried And Tired Raced wide without cover throughout. Smackdown (NZ) Held up for clear running approaching and rounding the home turn. Mr Gustavo (NZ) Passing the 1000m was steadied when tightened for room by Royal Island (Jason Benbow) which shifted in marginally when laying in. Jason Benbow was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Judges Approaching the 1000m when racing keenly was steadied when tightened for room between Stellar Collision which shifted out slightly and Lomi (Jessica Eaton) which shifted in when not fully clear. In all the circumstances Jessica Eaton was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure she is sufficiently clear before shifting ground in future. 6 Reward With Return As the start was effected put its head down and as a result began very awkwardly and lost considerable ground. Overraced in the middle stages and approaching the 800m was steadied off the heels of Getemhel (NZ). 4 th placegetter. Rider apprentice Chelsea MacFarlane was severely reprimanded for failing to ride her mount right out to the line for the final stride of the event. Rider apprentice Chelsea MacFarlane was fined the sum of $600 for using her whip five times more than permitted prior to the 100m under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii). Save Me Ned Slow to begin.
