Raced wide and greenly rounding the home turn. Found Out Shortly after the start became unbalanced and raced greenly when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of Barney Allen. Passing the 500 metres raced greenly, shifted out and made contact with Blonde Russian. Blonde Russian Became unbalanced passing the 500 metres after being brushed by Found Out. Steadied at the 400 metres to avoid the heels of Found Out (Andrew Mallyon), which shifted out. A Mallyon was severely reprimanded after Stewards took into account the colt, which was having its first start, had been racing greenly throughout. Tourist Attraction Raced three wide without cover. Race 3 PANCARE FOUNDATION PLATE metres: Extra Olives Began awkwardly. App Brooke Sweeney reported her mount raced very flat. Post-race endoscopy of detected a degree of mucus / mucopus that may have affected the horses racing performance. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again. Classic Diva Checked at the 1200 metres to avoid the heels of Extra Olives (app Brooke Sweeny), which, when being restrained, shifted in. B Sweeney was reprimanded and notified to exercise more care. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly had sustained a wound to the off hind and lost the off hind plate. A veterinary clearance is required prior racing again. Savaju (NZ) Restrained passing the 1200 metres to avoid the heels of Classic Diva and then began to over race and was again checked off the heels of Classic Diva near the 900 metres. Silver Pathfinder Raced three wide without cover. Race 4 RECYCAL HANDICAP metres: Electric Fusion Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 12.19pm on veterinary advice after being injured in the tie up stalls and was found to be lame near hind. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again. Houdini The Great Slow to begin. Schneller Checked passing the 1000 metres when over racing to avoid the heels of Dane Thunder. Our Peaky Blinders (NZ) Raced wide rounding the home turn. In the home straight hung in. Prima (NZ) Steadied at the 300 metres to avoid the heels of Schneller (Daniel Stackhouse), which was shifting out. D Stackhouse was notified to exercise more care. Hokkaido (7 th placegetter) App Brandon Stockdale was severely reprimanded for failing to ride his mount to the finish line. AR137(b) Coram Raced three wide without cover. Post race veterinary examination of identified the presence of blood at both nostrils. Coram shall not without permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months thereafter; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. 3 Race 5 LADBROKES HANDICAP metres: Kenjorwood Change of tactics To be ridden more positive. Raced three wide without cover until passing the 900 metres. App Ben Allen could offer no explanation for the performance other than the horse raced quite flat. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was lame in both forelegs and a post-race sample was taken for analysis. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again. Castelo Tightened near the 1200 metres. Magnapal Tightened near the 1200 metres losing its position. Dan Zephyr Taken hold of near the 50 metres. App Beau Mertens, rider of Onpicalo pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being that near the 1200 metres he permitted his mount to shift in causing tightening to Castelo which in turn caused tightening to Magnapal, resulting rider Nikita Beriman having to relinquish her position. App Beau Mertens, rider of Onpicalo, pleaded guilty to a further charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being that in the straight he permitted his mount to shift in passing the 100 metres when insufficiently clear of Dan Zephyr resulting in rider Brandon Stockdale taking hold of his mount near the 50 metres to avoid Onpicalos heels. In assessing penalty the Stewards deemed both incidents to be in the mid-range category of careless riding and took into account the guilty pleas and that the penalty was to be served cumulatively with his suspension incurred at Sandown May 10, which commenced at the completion of todays meeting. In all of the circumstances Beau Mertens was suspended for ten meetings to be served concurrently for each charge which commences midnight 19 May, 2017 and to expire midnight 27 May, 2017 that being an additional two metropolitan and eight provincial meetings. Race 6 CHANDLER MACLEOD HANDICAP metres: Transfer Allowance Slow into stride. Neverland Slow to begin. Loving Home (GB) Began awkwardly. Held up for a short distance rounding the home turn and again for a few strides passing the 200 metres. Grand Dreamer Had difficulty obtaining clear running for several strides passing the 200 metres. Nevis (IRE) Raced three wide without cover. Zahspeed Weakened in the straight. App Boris Thornton reported the gelding may be better suited to shorter distances than that of todays event. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slower than normal recovery.

4 Overberg (NZ) Lay out under pressure inside the final 100 metres. Race 7 NOEL RUNDLE HANDICAP metres: Billet Doux Stable representative for trainer Gordon Richards, Byron Cozimanis was severely reprimanded for presenting the gelding in the mounting yard without the surcingle. Ceylon (NZ) - As the gelding was being loaded into the barrier, backed out awkwardly dislodging rider Ben Allen. Underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Stewards notified co-trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young that a warning has been placed on the geldings record. Mongolian Wolf Tightened for room at the start between Magellan and Cincinnati Kid, which shifted out abruptly. App Mitch Aitken reported his mount raced flat. Stable representative, Darren Murphy indicated the gelding may be better served ridden more conservatively in the early stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality and a sample was taken for analysis. Stewards will follow up with trainer Darren Weir. Post-race endoscopy of detected a degree of internal exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage that may have affected the horses racing performance. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again. Race 8 CLANBROOKE RACING HANDICAP metres: Artie Dee Two Over raced through the early and middle stages. Katsuro Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Checked severely near the 500 metres when avoiding the heels of Wise Hero and at the same time Highland Beat shifted out after being bumped on the hindquarters by Reata, which also shifted out contributing to this incident. Enigman Raced keenly through the early and middle stages. Checked passing the 600 metres. Highland Beat Bumped on the hindquarters near the 500 metres. Held up for clear running from the 250 metres and went to the line not fully tested. Wise Hero Raced in restricted room from the 600 metres and near the 500 metres had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Bord De Gain. App Ben Allen reported the gelding travelled

5 well and when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding and would be better suited on tracks with more give. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slower than normal recovery. Reata Lost ground near the 500 metres after becoming unbalanced and making contact with the hindquarters of Highland Beat. Bord De Gain App Ben Thompson stated that in his opinion the gelding may have come to the end of its current preparation. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained abrasions to the near hind fetlock. App Ben Thompson pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being that he permitted his mount to shift in passing the 600 metres when insufficiently clear of Enigman, resulting in Enigman having to be checked. B Thompson had his permit to ride in races suspended for a total of eight meetings to commence midnight 13 May, 2017 and to expire midnight 19 May, (8 provincial). In assessing penalty the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the low range category of carelessness and took into account his guilty plea and record. Race 9 CATANACHS JEWELLERS HANDICAP metres: Cinnamon Carter Stood flat footed and was slow to begin. Trainer Robbie Laing was notified that a warning has been placed on the geldings record for its barrier manners and should it perform similarly in future further action may be considered. Exclusive Lass Bumped heavily at the start with Belsapphire due to both horses shifting ground. Rider Dean Yendall reported that the mare hung in severely throughout placing him at a disadvantage. Trainer N Blackiston was notified that the mare is now suspended from racing until such time as it performs to the satisfaction of Stewards in an official trial. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. Belsapphire Bumped heavily at the start by Exclusive Lass. Hampered passing the 100 metres when tightened for room by Exclusive Lass, which was racing erratically. Invincible Heart Tightened for room at the start between Deja Blue, which shifted out and Grey Street, which was taken in by Sallanches.
