Damien Thornton was severely reprimanded for failing to hand in his apprentice winning rides book. Race 1 THE GRAND HOTEL FRANKSTON HANDICAP metres: Affirmation re-saddled behind the barriers. Lucques slow to begin. Club Star over-raced early and middle stages. Domino Vitale had to be steadied off the heels of Club Star near the 900m when the tempo eased.

Post race veterinary examination of Red Letter Day identified the presence of blood at both nostrils. Red Samurai eased 200m to avoid heels of Magnus Lad. Yesterday s Songs hung in. Amovatio laid in in the straight. Race 3 MYPUNTER.COM HANDICAP metres: La Belle Mome late withdrawal on veterinary advice at 8.55am. Heavenly Spell unruly in the barriers and underwent a veterinary examination behind the start and passed suitable to race.this resulted in a three minute delay to the start. Needs to gain further approval at a jump out prior to racing again. Winter Palace began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Self Sense shifted out to improve near the 1000m and brushed Two Hats. Excitable Package checked to avoid heels near the 900m as the tempo steadied. Saclaye passing the 200m had to be eased off the heels of Heavenly Spell which shifted out. Henning disappointing, rider Dwayne Dunn advised that the gelding failed to run out the increase in distance today and a subsequent veterinary examination revealed Henning to have a slower than normal recovery. Savannah Moon disappointing, rider Linda Meech reported the filly pulled up distressed. An irregular heart rhythm was detected on post race veterinary examination of Savannah Moon. The filly shall not start in any race until the Stewards have received a satisfactory veterinary report. The report must include the results of an ECG performed at rest and cardiac auscultation performed within 30 minutes of completing a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000m.

3 Race 4 CHRIS FLAVELLE HANDICAP metres: Winta Chiller slow to begin. Held up for running rounding the home turn till near the 100m. Forgeress hampered on jumping away. Delta Whiskey - inconvenienced at the 100m. Headless over-raced early and middle stages. Doubtfilly steadied at the 700m to avoid the heels of Johannapine.Inconvenienced at the 100m. Cheeky Rozay (NZ) upon straightening brushed on the hindquarters by Forgeress which shifted out slightly. Aces And Angels held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Kristy Lee disappointing, rider Glen Boss could offer no explanation for the poor performance and a post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 5 SLICKPIX BLETCHINGLY STAKES (Group 3) metres: Lord Of The Sky brushed with Thiamandi near the 200m due to Thiamandi shifting in slightly.
