Other Comments / Explanations: Nicholas Hall was examined by the doctor after the running of Race 5 and stood down from fulfilling his remaining engagement. Race 1 - Red Rock Deli Plate metres: Mount Omei - jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and made heavy contact with Ballybrit resulting in Ballybrit becoming unbalanced. Ballybrit - bumped and became unbalanced at the start. Raced wide in the early stages before taking up a position outside the leader near the 1000m. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

2 Hell Or Highwater - checked near the 1400m to avoid the heels of Honey Cara, and at the same time racing in restricted room to the inside of Sea The Sparkle (GB). Over the concluding stages had to be steadied when racing in restricted room to the inside of Champagne Ready. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Daisys Joy - taken wider on the course near the 1000m by Artesian which shifted out to improve its position. Post race endoscopy detected a degree of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage that may have affected the mares racing performance and a veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again. Sea The Sparkle (GB) - raced wide without cover. Rider John Allen could offer no explanation for the performance which was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and swab sample was taken for analysis. Champagne Ready - held up rounding the home turn before shifting out to gain clear running near the 300m. Montoyas Secret - rider Ben Melham was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip seven times prior to the 100m. Race 2 - Twitter Trophy metres: Data Point - began awkwardly. Pilote Dessai (GB) - began awkwardly. Encosta Line - began awkwardly and knuckled then shifted in and inconvenienced No Pushover (NZ). Rider Ben Melham was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip seven times prior to the 100m. No Pushover (NZ) - inconvenienced at the start. When questioned regarding his tactics today, rider Chris Symons stated he was instructed to ride with cover and if caught wide early to find that back in the field. Trainer Mr Craig Ritchie explained that from the wide draw he left the options open to Chris Symons, depending on whether he could gain some cover. In all the circumstances no direct action was taken other than to remind Mr Ritchie of his obligations under AR135A, if it is his intention to have horses ridden contrary to their normal racing pattern. Goathland (IRE) - got its head up when over-racing in the early stages. Had to be steadied off the heels of Assertive Star, which shifted out when over-racing near the 1500m. Raced wide without cover. Rider Katelyn Mallyon could offer no explanation for the performance other than the gelding was having its first run in Australia. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Portion Control - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up rounding the home turn and until approaching the 300m. Lautaro (NZ) - raced wide without cover in the middle stages.

3 Maven Wiz - rider Jason Collett was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip seven times prior to the 100m. Cool Chap - rider Kerrin McEvoy was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip six times prior to the 100m. The Chairman - rider Dom Tourneur was fined $500 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip nine times prior to the 100m. Dom Tourneur was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(i) for using his whip for two consecutive strides prior to the 100m Assertive Star - rider Craig Newitt reported that his mount would be better suited on a track with more give. The track was upgraded from Good 4 to Good 3 at 1.04pm after the running of this race. Race 3 - Off the Track Subzero Handicap metres: Gladstone - third placegetter; rider Anthony Darmanin viewed the Stewards film prior to correct weight before deciding not to lodge an objection. Crowded for room and got unbalanced near the 75m between Pepperano (Craig Williams) and Onerous (Hugh Bowman) both of which shifted ground before being corrected by their respective riders. Powerline - began awkwardly. Got its head up near the 400m when racing tight to the inside of Wilscot and at the same time had to avoid the heels of Fabulonh which shifted out slightly. Rider James McDonald was issued with a severe reprimand for shifting out near the 300m when not fully clear. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Onerous - began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with Fabulonh. Murt The Flirt - when over-racing near the 1200m, had to be steadied off the heels of Pepperano. Rider Chris Symons could offer no explanation for the performance which was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Fabulonh - raced keenly in the early stages. Rider Damien Oliver was advised to exercise more care when permitting this mount shift out near the 400m when not fully clear. Bons Ghost - raced wide without cover throughout. After the running of the race the RV veterinary surgeon reported the gelding had heat stress and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Wilscot - raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 300m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Powerline (James McDonald) which shifted out to obtain a clear run. Rock Forthe Ladies - rider Blake Shinn could offer no explanation other than his mount raced flat. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

4 Anthony Darmanin (Gladstone) - found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the carelessness being that approaching the 200n he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of Harbour Grey (NZ) resulting in Harbour Grey (NZ) being checked and shifted out to change course. Anthony Darmanin had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period to commence at midnight November 3 rd and to expire at the completion of the day meeting on November 11 th, a total of ten race meetings (one metropolitan, nine provincial). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the carelessness was in the low range. Race 4-3AW Talking Melbourne Mile metres: Violent Snow - slow to begin. Paiges Boy - began awkwardly. Polar Vortex - held up rounding the home turn until passing the 300m. Mihany - rider Regan Bayliss was fined $500 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip nine times prior to the 100m. Grande Rosso - rider Damian Lane stated his mount was stirred up pre-race and may not have appreciated the short back up. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. A swab sample was also taken for analysis. Race 5 - TCL QUHD TV Stakes (Listed) metres: So Poysed - began very awkwardly and lost ground. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Righteous Mate (NZ) - began very awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with Zoffman which also shifted in after beginning awkwardly. Zoffman - began awkwardly and made contact with Righteous Mate (NZ). Shortly after the start had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Anaheim which shifted in before being straightened by its rider. Had to be checked near the 1700m. Warrior Of Justice - shortly after the start when racing in restricted room shifted in and brushed the hindquarters of Exocet resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Exocet - brushed on the hindquarters and became unbalanced shortly after the start. Rider Dwayne Dunn was of the view that the horse may be better suited on a soft track. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. The Rich Fisher - crowded and had to relinquish its position near the 900m.

Nemrud - rider James McDonald was fined $300 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip nine times prior to the 100m. Mark Zahra (The Rich Fisher) - pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the carelessness being that near the 1700m he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of Zoffman resulting in Zoffman having to be checked. Mark Zahra had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period to commence at midnight November 5 th and to expire at midnight November 13 th, a total of ten race meetings (two metropolitan, eight provincial). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account his guilty plea, the racing manners of Zoffman and the carelessness was in the mid-range. James McDonald (Nemrud) - pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the carelessness being that near the 900m he permitted his mount to shift out off the fence when not clear of The Rich Fisher resulting in The Rich Fisher being crowded and having to relinquish his position. Race 6 - Loreal Paris Stakes (Group 3) metres: Amovatio - slow to begin. Arod (IRE) - raced wide without cover. Federal - held up rounding the home turn and was unable to gain clear running until approaching the 100m. Taddei Tondo - held up from the 400m and was unable to obtain clear running until the 100m. Takedown - fifth placegetter; rider Blake Shinn was fined $500 under the provisions of AR137(b) for failing to ride his mount out to the winning post. In assessing penalty Stewards could not be satisfied his actions cost his mount fourth place. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained a laceration to its near hind pastern. Clearly Innocent - rider Kerrin McEvoy reported he was concerned with his mounts action behind from the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. A swab sample was also taken for analysis. Race 7 - Mumm Stakes (Listed) metres:

6 Tuscany Hero - slow to begin. Flamberge - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Rider Brad Rawiller could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Hellbent - rider Mark Zahra was not overly disappointed with the performance and indicated that the pattern of the race may not have suited the horse. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 8 - Crown Oaks (Group 1) metres: Bella Sorellastra - connections advised would be ridden more forward; settled mid-field. My Girl Chilly - connections advised would be ridden more forward; settled behind the leader. Rider Dean Yendall was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) or using his whip six times prior to the 100m. Red Velvet Swing - passing the winning post on the first occasion had to be checked when tightened for room between Bella Sorellastra which shifted out slightly and Nina Peak (Michael Dee) which shifted in before being straightened by its rider. Nina Peak - rider Michael Dee was advised to exercise more care than he did when shifting in passing the winning post on the first occasion. Peeking Duck - held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Harlow Gold (NZ) - an inquiry has been adjourned into the whip use of rider Regan Bayliss. Lasqueti Spirit - rider Brenton Avdulla was fined $1000 for his celebratory gesture prior to the winning post. Yankee Rose - when questioned, rider Blake Shinn explained that whilst the filly got back in the field he endeavoured to improve form the 1000m and his mount failed to respond and was under pressure at the 700m and in his view simply wasnt herself today. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Trainer Mr David Vandyke confirmed the filly would now be spelled. Race 9 - Crown Resorts Plate (Group 3) metres: Motown Lil - knuckled on leaving the gates. Call Me Tess - began awkwardly, shifted in and made heavy contact with Twist Tops.

7 Twist Tops - began awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with Call Me Tess. Eased down over the concluding stages; rider Craig Williams reported his mount did not feel right in its action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Pedrena - had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Motown Lil who was taken out by Moonlover (Damian Lane) near the 50m and Navagio (NZ) which was following was inconvenienced. Moonlover - rider Damian Lane was advised to exercise more care for shifting out when not fully clear near the 50m. Navagio (NZ) - inconvenienced near the 50m.
