In assessing penalty Stewards took into account Daniel Schmittts good record in this area.. Raced wide without cover.. Near the 350m bumped on the hindquarters by Watchmespin which shifted out to improve.. Alsimon Bumped on jumping away by Waltzing My Hilda which shifted out.. Shortly after the start was steadied when tightened for room between Waltzing My Hilda and Messika which was taken in by Blitz NN Magic.. Blitz NN Magic Overraced early.. Approaching the 1100m when overracing had to be steadied off the heels of Divine Way (Lester Grace) which shifted in.. Lester Grace was notified he must ensure he is clear of other runners when shifting ground in future.. Messika Near the 1000m was hampered and had to be steadied when taken in off its course by Blitz NN Magic which shifted in and away from Cerebellum.. Approaching the 400m steadied to avoid the heels of Princess Titanic (NZ) which after bumping with Skwosh shifted in.. Princess Titantic (NZ) Near the 1000m was hampered when bumped by Messika which had been taken in at this point.. Held up rounding the home turn and when attempting to improve bumped with Skwosh.. Performed below market expectations.. Rider Patrick Moloney could offer no explanation for the performance.. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.. Divine Way Over the concluding stages was eased by its rider when improving close to the heels of Messika which shifted out marginally.. Rider Lester Grace stated that his mount was inclined to lay in during the incident so he elected to ease his mount down rather than place himself onto the heels of Messika.. Stewards noted his explanation.. Cerebellum Raced wide without cover. Waltzing My Hilda Performed below market expectations.. Rider Daniel Stackhouse could offer no explanation for the performance.. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.. Subsequent to the race Lester Grace was examined by RV Medical Staff who deemed him unfit to fulfil his remaining engagements.. 4 Casa Larada Slow to begin.. Son Of Sunny Slow to begin.. Jellarto Slow to begin.. Rocketcod Began awkwardly.. Overraced early in the early and middle stages. Near the 1300m was hampered when racing tightly to the inside of Grouseness which shifted in before being straightened by its rider.. Performed below market expectations.. Rider James Winks could offer no explanation for the performance.. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.. Steel Caps Overraced early and passing the 1000m when overracing was permitted to stride forward by its rider and as a result Raced wide from this stage onwards.. Near the 200m rider Taylor Marshall lost the use of his off side rein for a short distance which placed him at a disadvantage before regaining prior to the 100m.. Great Bay Passing the 1000m was taken out off it course by Steel Caps which when overracing shifted out to improve.. Keep In Touch > Steadied passing the 500m when Steel Caps shifted in marginally and Liberty Arc shifted out and was then held up until passing the 300m.. Taylor Marshall (Steel Caps) Pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR 137(a), the carelessness being that passing the 100m he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of Son Of Sunny (Jordan Childs) which had to be restrained to avoid heels and lost its rightful running.. Taylor Marshallls permit to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence at midnight 21 August 2017 and to expire at midnight 28 August (7meetings, 2 metropolitan, 5 provincial).. In arriving at penalty Stewards deemed the incident to be in the low range and took into account his guilty plea record and the mitigating circumstances, in particular the fact that apprentice Taylor Marshal had lost the use of his off side rein prior to this incident.. Race 5 seymour toyota 0-58 handicap metres:> Cannon Man Slow to begin.. Near the 1000m hampered when being steadied off the heels of Taken Time which when overracing shifted out.. Rider Jake Bayliss reported that the gelding did not feet right in its action.. An irregular heart rhythm was detected on post race veterinary examination. Cannon Man shall not start in any race until the Stewards have received a satisfactory veterinary report. The report must include the results of an ECG performed at rest and cardiac auscultation performed within 30 minutes of completing a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres. Zoffany Rose> Near the 1500m was obliged to be steadied when racing in restricted room between Dr Jameson which shifted out slightly whilst overracing and Buckeye Nation.. Held up for a run from near the 600m until approaching the 200m.. Buckeye Nation Near the 350m steadied when momentarily tightened by Back To The Bowler which shifted out and away from Summer Glen.. Redds Sister Rosie Raced wide without cover.. Back To The Bowler Performed below market expectations and was eased down over the concluding stages by its rider.. Rider Jamie Mott explained in his opinion the gelding failed to run out a strong 2000m and will be better suited over shorter distances.. Miss Two Pairs Rider Ismail Toker reported that shortly the saddle on the mare shifted forward placing him at a disadvantage throughout the event and for this reason when the mare commenced to give ground near the 300m he eased it down.. After taking into account Benjamin Monnierrs guilty plea, record and the seriousness of the matter, Stewards suspended his track riding license for a period of 4 months and until such time as he delivers a sample free of any banned substances from which time he may resume stable duties on the ground.. The period of suspension began on 10 August 2017, the day from which he was stood-down from track riding and handling horses, to a date to expire midnight 10 th December 2017.

8 Stewards concluded an inquiry into the Analystts report regarding a sample taken from track Conor Higgins track rider at Flemington on 31 July Conor Higgins pleaded guilty to a charge under AR81A in that he delivered a sample at Flemington on 31 July 2017 which was found upon analysis to contain a substance banned by AR81B.. After taking into account Conor Higginns guilty plea, record and the seriousness of the matter, Stewards suspended his track riding license for a period of 4 months and until such time as he delivers a sample free of any banned substances from which time he may resume stable duties on the ground.. The period of suspension began on 10 August 2017, the day from which he was stood-down from track riding and handling horses, to a date to expire midnight 10 th December 2017.
