2 JUNE 2017 TWIN STATE NEWSLETTER PAGE 2 PRESIDENT S REPORT by Josh Christopher First I want to welcome all the new members to Twin State. We are full swing into race season, and the challenge with mother nature. This brings me to a point i would like to make. Race car drivers and fans are some of the most opinionated people on the planet, and love to complain and criticize racetracks in our area. I have been to 4 tracks so far and raced at 3. Here is my take. Has the weather been perfect.. no. Has the track surface been perfect... no. But have those tracks done their best... Yes. Have we seen some great Racing? Yes!! My point is this everyone. We need to use are socialmedia, or other outlets in a positive manner. Please help the sport we love. Not bash it. June 2nd was our first Club night at Raceway 7. I had the oppertunity to get to most of the team s in the pits and talk about Twin State Auto Racing. I m beyond excited that the new changes the club has made brought us 39 new members this night. We had 3 members win features this night, earning them some extra feature payout. We also made two young fans very happy with our bike give away. I can t thank the team s and fans enough at Raceway 7 for making it an amazing night for Twin State Auto Racing! Just wanna put out the reminder of a couple events. First June 28th will be the benefit at Quaker Steak and Lube in Cortland Ohio for Akron Children s Hospital. All details in news letter. Second our bus trip to Eldora. We need to fill this bus. It s gonna be an amazing trip. July 19th. We will have some free giveaways on the bus. Check out the details in the newsletter. In closing I want to thank all the hard working people of Twin State. DIRT TRACK HEROES RACE CAR SHOW QUAKER STEAK AND LUBE CORTLAND, OHIO WEDNESDAY JUNE 28 6:00-8:00 PM Over 30 race cars will be shown in the lot. Fund raising 4-10 pm include 50/50 and Wings for a Year Raffles, Chinese Auction, games by Great Clips, plus The Lube will donate 10% of in-house food sales from 4-10 pm when flyer is presented at checkout. Donated acoustic entertainment from 6-8 pm...the Huckin Fillbillys Unplugged;Daddy-O & The Diva Joshua Lee Nelson, a local country sensation and Taylor Borton, a new young talent!! ELDORA BUS TRIP FOR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK RACE & BIG BLOCK MODS WEDNESDAY JULY 19,2017 Our club is sponsoring a charter bus trip to Eldora Speedway for the NASCAR Truck race and DIRT big block modifieds.. Any TWIN STATE member or Non member is permitted to attend. Cost is $90 per person and there are 54 seats available. Bus, ticket and snacks are included. BYOB or food. This is a first come first serve event!!! We leave at 10:00 AM From the Park and Ride in front of Salsita s Restaurant on ST RT 46 in Niles,Ohio and return after the race is over. THERE ARE NO HOLDS FOR TICKETS AND NO REFUNDS!!! Tickets are in hand and will be given to you as you enter the bus. Please send a check for total amount to our PO BOX.
