Apologies (raised by Lynette Newby) Rick Sampson, Jane Dougherty, Angela Hinterhozl, Item #2. Business Arising (raised by Cheryl Joy Kinnane OAM) This year the cricket finals will be held on March 24, 2018 There have been 30 'Intent to enter' forms returned. Rep uniform. Cheryl Kinnane OAM - I am extremely upset at the response to my uniform proposal at the last CC meeting, so I voiced my concerns to 2 board members. Ross Thorley offered to speak to the board regarding my experience. I am also having difficulty finding Board meeting minutes to verify uniform conversations. Cheryl feels that we should have been consulted on the shade of blue. Trudy. Kylies club were also disgusted at the way the uniforms were chosen. They feel that the uniform should have been voted on by all members. Peter Fysh has been in contact with hockey NSW and they will 99% not accept anymore blue uniforms. Kerry has an from Hockey NSW stating that all uniforms need to be the same colour throughout the men's, women's and other grades of an Association. Teams are able to were shirts or singlets as long as the players all have the same design/colours. Blue is the most common colour on uniforms, therefore no other blue uniforms will be allowed. Q.Why has the new uniform been accepted when it Accessed by Kerry Barton on 02/03/2018 at 12:08:51 Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 9

2 still has blue on it?. A. The blue is not the dominant colour and it would be financially irresponsible for the GHA to throw out all the uniforms that are maroon, blue and white. Peter Fysh thinks the biggest problem with the uniform change has been communication with its members. HNSW believes that it is the boards responsibility to choose uniforms as getting a whole association of members to agree would be impossible. Choosing the uniform for the juniors was undertaken in conjunction with the junior players. Jeff Thomas - Juniors have played in this uniform for several years and no objection has ever been raised. Peter - we are now in our 4th year of amalgamation and we need to move forward on decisions. The decision was not made with the intent of upsetting any one member. Size samples have already been ordered. Q. What is the time frame for the uniforms to be ready? A. May 4, 2018 for the first teams to go away. Consultation with the womens masters will occur when the sample sizes arrive. Everyone on the same team must have the same uniform ie: sleeves. Q. Is the uniform that is coming different to the uniform that was displayed? A. It will be slightly different cut ie: womens cut. Q. Is there a cost as yet? A. No final costing yet, as it will be a bulk order and will depend on numbers. Item #3. Acceptance of Previous Minutes (raised by Lynette Newby) Changes to January 31, 2018 Minutes required - Yvonne Cameron would like her name removed as Seconder for Men's as she did not second it. Moved, Mary Day Second, Kerry Barton Item #4. Correspondence (raised by Lynette Newby) none to report Item #5. Board Report (raised by Kerry Barton) Board Report: Kerry - idea to send out a board report in between meetings, so everybody gets a chance to read the report and comment on it at next cc meeting. Q. Does everyone think this is a good idea. Q. from floor - Was Sharyn speed asked? A. The board decided not to fill the vacant role until the next AGM. Cheryl - this would be unconditional. Peter Gibbons - the board has the right to fill positions at it s discretion. Kerry - Our constitution is outdated and should be updated in line with HNSW s expectations. Item #6. Grading Report (raised by Cheryl Joy Kinnane OAM) Grading : The grading committee received Intent to Enter: forms from 30 teams. To thus date 27/2/18 We have received 3 teams with player information, so until we receive the remaining that are outstanding the actual grading wont be done until then. Cheryl Kinnane.OAM Lyn - the grading committee needs to have reps from both men and women on board. Move - Cheryl, Second Pete Gibbons Accessed by Kerry Barton on 02/03/2018 at 12:08:51 Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 9

3 Item #7. Registrar's Report (raised by Kerry Barton) Comp registrar: Registrar report Feb 28th 2018 After a confusing start registrations appear to be taking place with very few problems. Only 2 mistakes so far which have both been fixed! Register through GHA website Please note McAuley and City Bears have their own Revolutionise portal so you should register through their website. There have been some questions regarding dual registrations. If registering with more than one club within GHA. There is a place to register a 2nd or 3rd club. If this is missed or there is a need to add it contact me registrarghahockey@gmail.com. And CC admin@graftonhockey.net.au If you have a person who has registered with another Association as their Primary association the process is the same as other returning members. Register through GHA website. Renew, their registration with HNSW will be recognized and they will only be charged for the GHA component. Club registrars are responsible for entering registered members into teams. Unless this is done names will not be printed on scorecards and I will nag you to do so. If anyone needs a refresher or is new to this please contact me registrarghahockey@gmail.com. And CC admin@graftonhockey.net.au I will be away for the first 2 weeks of competition and will do what I can before I go but any names added after 3rd April will not be printed on your cards until I return. (Unless someone is willing to learn how to do this) Any club requiring a new or another club registrar to be added contact me and I can add them but only if they have registered this year. All members from last year have been archived by HNSW in the rollover 1/2/18 except those who had some administration rights. Lyn and I have been working on the website and have been trying to get it up to date. Please be patient we are still learning. When you register you will be given a user name. You can log in through the member log in at the top by using that and setting up a password. It is possible to make some things only visible to members so you will not be able to view these without logging in. (at the moment everything is visible) You should also be able to update your own details when logged in but I had an issue with mine. If this is happens to anyone else, I can update from the back end so let me know. Remember the address that you use is how we will communicate with you through Revolutionise. If you would like your club details updated on the GHA website please let either Lyn or myself know. Some have no logo or Accessed by Kerry Barton on 02/03/2018 at 12:08:51 Meeting Minutes Page 3 of 9

4 information other than an or phone number. Bernadine Solomon has offered to help with entering results on weekends to assist Kerry. new for this position Q. was the fee of $15 for non playing officials discussed at the board? A. The $15 fee still stands for non playing officials. This year the cards will have the exact same name on them as the one that you are registered with. This is for insurance purposes. Move Kerry Barton, Second, Taryn Duroux Item #8. Inter District Competition (raised by Lynette Newby) INTER-DISTRICT HOCKEY NEWS GRAFTON/FNC After speaking to Trevor Dancer, FNC still want to try to run the competitions with both A and B grades. He has suggested maybe having 2 clubs travel over on the same day as an option and play 4 games. FNC are commencing their competition around the 7th April. Trevor was hoping to start the inter-district competition in May. Dates to be worked out when we finalise teams etc. I personally feel Grafton should try to push for both A and B grade teams to travel as it is only a total of 4 trips per season and it will make for a stronger competition. If anyone has any ideas, please put them forward so I can consult with Trevor and hopefully work out a solution. Regards Rick Sampson Discussion from floor - Most clubs are still wanting A grade only as they will struggle to field 2 teams, but if FNC insist on 2 grades than most clubs will do their best to field 2 teams. 6 same page. A meeting was held with representatives from GHA women s first grade teams on Monday night to discuss dates and any issues or suggestions. We will come up with a set of rules for both associations to agree to. In keeping with views expressed at the planning meeting the competition will be held earlier and closer together than last year. It will also include a local round. Proposed dates for the 4 intersistrict matches at present are 28th April, 12th May, 19th may, 2nd June. We have left out the weekends of the U18s and U15s as they may present some problems with team numbers. All teams will only have to travel twice. This is still a work in progress and we will keep those clubs concerned posted. Moved Kerry Barton Mary Day Item #10. Representative (raised by Lynette Newby) Representative No report given. Kerry - Score cards have been changed slightly with the red card event section removed as this goes onto another card anyway. The card will still be recorded on card however. Injuries - will now be a tick box/circle this type of reporting. This will neaten up the wording around injuries. Sheryl - there is also a concussion app which is a really good thing to have for players with possible head injury. App is called First Responders Some of the signs are falling down.
