7 Spark Spark Score Surveys are open! Surveys opened Sept 15 th and close January 31, 2015! We would like as many 4-H members as possible to complete surveys in the Online Record Book. It is our way to find out about you and how the California 4-H Youth Development Program is doing overall. Thank you to everyone who has completed their surveys so far. Record Book Tip of the Month Adult volunteers, use your 4hOnline family address and password to login to ORB. Youth members, use your 4hOnline family address and the youth password for ORB, then set your 4hOnline family profile to login in ORB. Adult volunteers and youth members must be enrolled in 4hOnline to login to ORB. For more information on the relationship between 4hOnline and ORB, click here. Tip: If you begin keeping everything that is associated with 4-H or National 4-H Week Proclamations By Carlos Lopez (Imperial County All Star) The Imperial County All-Stars received proclamations from the cities of El Centro, Imperial, Holtville, Brawley Calipatria and the County of Imperial recognizing the week of October 5 11 as National 4-H week. The goal of a proclamation is to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary achievements of city residents and non profit organizations, to honor occasions of importance and significance to the residents and to increase public awareness of issues with the hope of improving the well being of citizens. With six proclamations recognizing October 5 11 as National 4-H week, not only is the Imperial County 4-H program gaining the attention of local officials, but also the attention of entire cities. These proclamations show the community that 4-H is an active youth-organization in their area. This increase in awareness may lead to an increase in community support of the 4-H program and allow the Imperial County 4-H program to achieve new levels of success. As the Imperial County 4-H program gains attention I encourage all members to make the best 4-H program better this year and every year from your project on the day you enrolled and begin records early, you will be more organized, less stressed and will do better on your Record Book in the end. Sgt. of Arms workshop Officer Training 4-H Club Officers enjoyed a fun filled day of learning the responsibilities of their positions and how to effectively run a meeting. They learned how to speak in front of a group and most of all had fun with new friends from all over the county! Thank you to the Officer Work Shop Presenters!!Steven Johnson, Carlos Lopez, Bryanne Sanchez, Megan Smedley, Shelby Dill, Nathaniel Arroyave, Amanda Cantwell, Sonora Shelton, and not pictured Jack Grizzle and Josh Trimm
