Through this new opportunity, 4-H Members can learn the important information related to Foods, Nutrition, and Food Safety from a different type of cooking experience. The format of this event will expect a team of 4-H Members to apply food and nutrition knowledge and skills, but on the BBQ grill. Includes several categories (Protein, Fruit and Vegetable, Grain, and Mystery Category) ONLY SENIOR age 4-H members can participate (at least 14). Entry Designations If you validated as a family you must , or come by office to tell us which 4H er will show which animal. WE MUST HAVE IT IN WRITING OR SENT THROUGH . THE DEADLINE WILL BE SET FOR FEBRUARY 14, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!! Project Record Forms & Thank You Letters It s about that time of year again, where everyone has to submit a record book especially, if you would like your check from the Fair Association, if you make the sale for You can access this on our website: Click on the 4H Tab then click on the bullet that reads Project Record Form If you can t access online you are more than welcome to come by the Extension Office to pick one
4 up. The DEADLINE to turn in Project Record Form is April 11, 2014 by 5pm. NO LATE EXCEPTIONS!!!! As stated in the rules of the LaSalle County Junior Livestock Show 2014, Record books and thank you letters must be turned in by the second (2 nd ) Friday in April or a penalty of 1% per day of the exhibitor s sale proceeds will be withheld. Any funds withheld for penalty will be retained for redistribution by the Booster Club. (Rule #7 in the Auction Section). Online Record Book Turning in a Record Book makes your child eligible to win awards at the end of the year banquet and county awards. This is a more detailed experience with the animal. If you decide to turn in an Online Record Book instead of a Project Record Form you MUST turn this in BEFORE YOU RECEIVE ANY CHECK FROM THE FAIR ASSOCIATION!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!! Below is the direct link to the Online Record Book: 1 st Year Broiler/ Chicken Meeting We will be having an educational program about raising broilers for show on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 5:30pm at the LaSalle County Extension Office. Important information will be given at this meeting so we highly encourage all 1 st year exhibitors to attend LaSalle County 4H & FFA Prospect Show We would like to congratulate all the participants who participated in the Prospect Show. It was a SUCCESS! We would like to extend a BIG Thank You to all the Board Members, Volunteers, County Council, Narvaiz Family, Galvan Family, Cooks, Parents && anyone else who helped out. Broiler/ Chicken Pick Up If you ordered Chickens to show in this year s LaSalle County Show you must come by the LaSalle County Extension Office on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 6pm to pick up your chickens. 5 4H & FFA Booster Club sets Attendance Policy! The LaSalle Co. 4H and FFA Booster Club, (Which runs the Livestock Show) has instituted a rule that states: To be eligible to show at the LaSalle Co. Livestock Show, all 4H and FFA members must attend at least 50% of their respective chapter or club meetings. If you miss a 4H meeting and would like to have a make up, you can attend a LaSalle County Council meeting. You must have made 50% of the meetings. If you miss a 4H Meeting you can attend a County Council Meeting. If you DO NOT meet the attendance requirements you will not be able to show at the County Fair.
