4 Tingira s Off-The-Beach Mini Regatta Sailed in Light Winds Sundays mini regatta for our off-the-beach sailors was held in typical wintery conditions with dull cloudy skies and a very light breeze. Five Vagabond dinghies and two wooden classic sailing dinghies nominated for the event. The light sailing conditions meant that we only managed to conduct two races during the scheduled time. The second race was a lady helmsman race with Alene Ivey, Kerri Deane, Moya Fox and Anne Lee taking the tiller. This was fiercely contested and with lots of fun and banter. Nominated Skippers and Crews Boat Name Skipper / Crew Vagabond 1 Vagabond 2 Vagabond 3 Vagabond 4 Vagabond 5 Pup (Michalak Piccup Pram Sailing Dinghy) Blue Chicken (Classic Wooden Sailing Dinghy) Bruce Legg Peter Fox / Moya Fox Ian McLaren / Anne Lee Guy Hickey / Alene Ivey Peter Deane / Kerri Deane Ivan Scott John Bowden / John Lee Ivan Scott looks relaxed as he ghosts along in the light breeze sailing his Michalak designed Pickup Pram Sailing Dinghy called Pup. And time to celebrate Birthdays for Kerri Deane and John Rekers. What a fantastic afternoon - 3 Million Cheers say! A Big Thank You to the Sunday on the Deck crew Galley: Joan Stampton, Margaret Jones, BBQ: Trevor and Noel Bar: Fay Hooker Margaret Britz & Kay Bowden! 7 Tingira boat club newsletter 91 coast road macleay island qld 4184
