1 Overview This manual, including the dcumentatin and recrds referenced by it, cnstitutes the Factry Prductin Cntrl (FPC) system established by NEW CENTURY DOORS LIMITED, LEIGHTON BUZZARD, BEDFORDSHIRE. t ensure that prducts the Cmpany places n the market cnfrm t the stated perfrmance characteristics in accrdance with the requirements f the relevant Prduct Standard(s). The FPC system cnsists f prcedures, regular inspectins, tests and/r assessments, and the use f results t cntrl raw and ther incming materials r cmpnents, equipment, the fabricatin prcess and the prduct. The results f inspectins, tests r assessments requiring actin, and any actin taken, are recrded. Sectin A: Persnnel A1 - Persn respnsible fr FPC The management representative appinted with respnsibility fr FPC is TONY HUGHES (Directr) & TONY HORNE (Directr) The named persn/s are respnsible fr the FPC system establishing and maintaining the FPC manual ensuring that the manual is available t staff where it is relevant t their wrk and that they are familiar with it The Cmpany will ensure that all necessary resurces are at the management representative s dispsal fr him/her t carry ut these tasks. Sectin B: Equipment B5 Calibratin f testing and measuring equipment The items f test and measurement equipment are calibrated peridically t ensure that wear, misuse r failure des nt affect cnsistency in the prductin prcess. Calibratin is carried ut by cmpetent persns identified in Sectin A. The items f equipment used fr measuring and testing prduct during and after fabricatin are a) Self calibrating CNC machinery. b) Individual Tape Measures. Each item f equipment, by type, is calibrated a) CNC machinery Daily b) Individual Tape Measures If Damaged B6 Inspectin f testing and measuring equipment Each item f equipment is inspected peridically t ensure that wear, misuse r failure des nt affect cnsistency in the prductin prcess. Inspectin is carried ut by cmpetent persns identified in Sectin A.

3 B7 Inspectin and maintenance f prductin equipment The items f prductin equipment are inspected peridically and maintained t ensure that wear, misuse r failure des nt affect cnsistency in the fabricatin prcess. Equipment inspectin and maintenance activities are carried ut by cmpetent persns identified in Sectin A. Prductin equipment maintenance is carried ut a) As Required. Sectin C: Raw Materials and Cmpnents C9 Specificatin f raw materials and cmpnents The specificatins f all incming materials and cmpnents are available frm the suppliers. C10 Inspectin f raw materials and cmpnents Delivery dcumentatin are signed by Graham Bennett Materials Cntrller/Q.C. All gds received are stred within the premises as sn as pssible fllwing delivery, and where lcated indrs are prtected frm damage, excesses f heat and light, and water penetratin. Sectin D: Prductin Prcess D11 Stages f prductin All stages f prductin are carried ut under cntrlled cnditins. Persns respnsible fr the stages f prductin are identified in Sectin A. The stages f prductin are a) cutting f PVC-U prfiles b) cutting f reinfrcing materials c) ruting and drainage f fabricatin d) welding f frames e) crner cleaning f welds f) Slab Sizing g) hardware fixing and assembly h) bead cutting if applicable i) factry glazing if applicable j) final inspectin

4 D12 Checking prcedure Checks n the prcesses and equipment used at each stage f prductin are undertaken by cmpetent persns identified in Sectin A. D13 Checks, results and crrective actin recrds a) Any suspect quality issues are reprted t the suppliers wh retain these recrds. Sectin E: Prduct Testing and Evaluatin E14 Maintenance f characteristics declared values The characteristics and their perfrmance values f these prduct types are declared in the Declaratins f Perfrmance a) stred in hard cpy frmat n-site Sectin F: Traceability and Marking F17 Prduct identificatin Individual prducts r prduct batches are identified by a) accmpanying dcumentatin Each identifier cntains a) the internal jb number The CE marking f each prduct is identified a) by labelling affixed t the packaging and/r invicing dcumentatin. F18 Prducts traceable t prductin rigin Finished prducts are traceable back thrugh prductin t the bught-in materials and cmpnents. This is t ensure that in the event f failure f the prduct it is pssible t trace back t the surce f the prblem. Windw and dr prfiles are identifiable thrugh inkjet cde markings printed alng each prfile length. All materials and cmpnents are traceable t each supplied batch thrugh the Cmpany s rder prcess and suppliers delivery dcumentatin.

5 Sectin G: Nn-cnfrming Prducts G20 Dealing with nn-cnfrmities Nn-cnfrmities are dealt with by the relevant suppliers wh can prvide traceability details. Where a prblem e.g. a cmplaint r any ther issue fund during internal inspectin, testing r assessment, r a deviatin frm established practice, is identified it is reprted as a nn-cnfrmity. All nn-cnfrmities are reprted t Tny Hughes and/r Tny Hrne Any prduct that is nn-cnfrming is identified t ensure that it cannt be released. Sectin H: Crrective Actin H22 Eliminating causes f nn-cnfrmities The crrective actin prcedure is detailed by ur supplier and retained fr future reference. Nn-cnfrmities are actined in a timely manner. Remedial actin t reslve the immediate prblem is undertaken and, where necessary, actin instigated t eliminate the cause f nncnfrmity.
