7 Tennis Parent-Child Tournament Results Saturday, May 25 Thank you to all the Parent-Child doubles teams who played in our Parent-Child Tournament this past Saturday! Jane & Ray Silverstein won the tournament by 1 game, with Will & Colin Mathews right behind them in second place. Great job everyone! Tennis Ladders Beginning Monday, June 3 Men s & Ladies Singles Ladder: Stay competitive and match tough throughout the Spring and Summer seasons. Round robin format. Men s 3.5 & Below / Men s 4.0 & Above Women s 3.0 & Below / Women s 3.5 & Above Parent-Child Doubles Ladder: Offers parents and children a chance to play together. Round robin format. Children must be Challenger level or above. All adult levels welcome. Junior Challenge Ladder: Singles challenge ladder for those children interested in stepping their games up! Groups will be split into several divisions and we will have challenge matches weekly where you can move your way up the ladder! 8 Fitness & Wellness NACC Aquathon Saturday, June 8 / 8:30-10:30am Enjoy great samplings of aquatic group exercise! NACC s Aquathon features a series of 20-minute samples from our excellent class line-up and is sure to keep you moving. Come for one, two or all the classes! Each participant is entered into a raffle. Visit the B&T Welcome Center for specific class offerings. Light continental breakfast provided. We Need Your Opinion! The upright Technogym and Precor exercise bikes on the floor in the Cardio Room are demos. We value and are asking for your feedback about each bike. NACC Fitness Tip of the Week If you are in a time crunch and cannot make it into the gym, give body weight exercises a try. 10 Club Lane Kidz Club Lane Kidz Camp: NACC Time Travelers June 3-7 Have you been to the Middle Ages or the 1950 s? In this exciting camp, children journey through time as they explore a variety of different eras and places. Campers will create cool art projects, play games and hear music that reflects their daily themed time period or place of travel. Activities include making Mayan masks with soft pastels, creating origami and constructing inventions that will power our future. In order to combat time traveling fatigue, campers will also engage in traditional camp activities, games and sports. 12 Aquatics Summer Group Swim Lessons Session 1 June 3 rd thru June 14 th Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays (6 Lessons / $72): 9:00-9:30am / 9:45-10:15am / 10:30-11:00am / 6:00-6:30pm Tuesdays & Thursdays (4 Lessons / $48): 8:30-9:00am / 6:00-6:30pm Ages 3 & Up / Minimum 4 & Maximum 16 Children per Session Adult Pool Closures The Adult Pool will be closed for private parties on Friday, May 31 st and Sunday, June 2 nd beginning at 4:00pm. Family Pool Hours Monday - Friday: 11:00am - 9:00pm Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am - 8:00pm Save the Date: Make it Mania: Color Explosion Saturday, June 15 / 4:00-6:30pm / Family Pool Join us for another fun Make it Mania craft party. 13 Aquatics Penguin Babies Sundays / June 9 - July 21 Parents & Children 6 Months - 2½ Years Old 9:00-9:30am This class is designed to help parents learn how to interact with their little ones in the water. Water exploration, fun songs and games will help your child develop a love for the water. After Penguin Babies, you and your child will feel comfortable and safe in the pool this Summer. Penguin Babies will establish a foundation so that your child can enter the NACC Learn to Swim Program. Please bring your swimsuit as we require parents to be in the water with their child at all times. No floatation devices are necessary. $72/Package of 6 classes Adult Swim Lessons Mondays / June 10 - July 1 Beginners 8:00-8:45am For those with little to no swimming experience interested in learning the basics. Focus on freestyle and backstroke with proper breathing and mechanics. This class is meant to help individuals get comfortable in the water and be able enjoy swimming. $17/Class or $60/Package of 4 classes Advanced / Stroke Refinement 7:00-7:45am For those individuals who are looking to refine and improve upon their current stroke technique and knowledge. We will focus on all four strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. This class is great for anyone interested in adding swimming to their workout regime or for anyone training for triathlons. This class will educate the individual on the most effective and efficient way to swim. $17/Class or $60/Package of 4 classes Advanced registration is requested for Aquatics events.
