1 Molloy Student Government October 17, 2017 Agenda 1. Call to Order 3:30pm 2. Roll Call 3. Approval of Minutes 4. Guests Nutritional Therapy- Casey and Julia-- want to create a club in order to start healthy living. With bake sales that consist of fruits and things and create a yoga night as one of our events. Want to be able to educate people in a way to be able to assist students in way to eat healthier. Name choice: nutrition therapy- think more of the medical thought and people with eating disabilities. Possibly working the name to make it sound better. Its different and a great idea to bring to this campus. Name train: Nutrition and wellness! Educated advisor in the field would be a beneficial idea. Then also opening it up to all students not just nursing students. Jeffrey Lozano motion to approve constitution with corrections. 2nd: Sara Miller -- Motion Passes 5. Committees i. No Report 6. Legislature Officer Reports: a. Programming Coordinators i. 10/16: Halloween Hype, 8pm, Maria and Fitz Lobbies --Jeffery Lozano ii. Halloween Party -- hand out with all information for the event-- need more people to sign up for the event!!! One Hour is Mandatory No alcohol at the halloween party this year-- Grace: was that a huge hit? no it really wasn't a big hit but it drew people in but it is totally fine. Afsha Malik: Constantly give out leaflets and remind people till the event. Don t drink alcohol at the event if you are helping. Jeffrey Lozano Programming Coordinator motions for funds not to exceed 5,000 dollars for halloween party 2nd: Austin Verdejo -- motion passes! b. Communications Coordinators i. Request Timing: Matt Gibbons: need requests in 3 weeks in advance for the event! ii. Event Ideas: give us more information and details iii. Poster Hanging: Matt Gibbons: need to post PR up when needed! When PR is approved people will be told right away! Create a where PR can be hung up discription cheat sheet iv. Event Descriptions: Have an open mind about PR

2 RGB: request for geofilters communicate with everyone so that we know when it is created. Geofilters aren t approved far in advance because of the process it has to go through. c. Community Service i. Dodge for a Cure Feedback : Colleen Elliot: thanks for everyones help and participating! Made 3,034 dollars! Send out google doc for feedback for the event! ii. Breast Cancer Awareness iii. Molloy s Week of Giving -- November 6th thorugh the 11th Monday: baby care packages Wednesday: Food collection Thursday: after school with the children Friday: Soup kitchen Sat: VFW Mary Ryan: Will there be a list created for the week of giving so we have updates and know all the information? Yes d. Residence Life i. Ice Cream Social Feedback: Walter: thanks for those who were there! Public Saftey was happy and it went well e. Class Officers i. Seniors i. Color Fest Color Fest Feedback: Thank you for all the help! It was very well organized. Google Doc with Feedback ii. 11/2: Mr. Molloy, 8pm-10pm, Madison Theatre --- Sign up sheet sent out! Prizes have been purchased. Gift cards with all different values. Danielle Khoury and Anthony Pedraita are hosting it so come support your friends. Word of mouth is huge for this event! ii. Sign up iii. 11/14: Let Your Voice Be Heard, 7pm-10pm, Hays : Karaoke Night!! Come out and help us! iv. 12/5: "We'll Be There For You", 5:30pm, Larini, : Game night with food, bunch of board games and a destresser towards finals and things. Bring games that you may have. Carly: possibly play friends. Great Idea v. 12/4: Pie Your Professors and peers!, 1pm-5pm, PS Patio, -- Megan: possibly create pie your RA opportunity? iv. Freshmen i. 10/26: Freshmen Class Meeting,12pm-3pm, PS350-- Nicole motions for funds not to exceed 20 dollars from the freshman class budget line for our meeting. 2nd: Katie -- motion passes! Possibly reach out to FST professors for show up opportunities. ii. 11/6: Game Night Out, Between, 8pm-11pm, Res Halls-- want to have a football game and have games out on the lawn. Want to do s'mores and a firepit. Austin Verdejo Freshman Class President motions for funds not to exceed 1,000 dollars for game night from freshman class budget. 2nd: Breann Rissland -- motion passes! iii. 11/29: Chipotle Fundraiser, 4pm-8pm, Oceanside-- Go show your support! f. H.O.P.E. i. Appalachia Fundraiser: Elizabeth-- possibly create a volleyball fundraiser with the help of Kayla and the intramural club! Homecoming this saturday and 4pm homecoming mass in our chapel. g. S.A.A.C. i. 10/17: Women s Volleyball, 6pm, Quealy, Support the Sport ii. 10/18: Women's Soccer, 4pm, iii. 10/20: Field Hockey, 2pm, Cedar Creek Park iv. 10/21: Men's and Women's Cross Country, 11:30am, Brookville v. 10/21: Men's Soccer Senior Day, 3pm, vi. 10/21: Women's Rugby Senior Day, 11am, Cedar Creek Park

4 vii. 10/21: Women s Soccer Senior Day, 12pm, Concerns: Team impact-- build better relationship with team impact which is a foundation that pairs teams with a child with an illness or disability and can t play a sport because of their issues and wants to create better branding. Want to get this to Molloy -- want to spread awareness and possibly create an event for team impact and its impact. 2: Make a wish: have a great relationship and raise about 3,00 dollars and the schools that make up to 7,000 and possibly get molloy a reveal. 3: Academics: Teach team has a faculty advisor and teams don t realize who their advisor is. Don t have a relationship with their team and possibly create a way to make this a bigger impact. h. Res Life Rep i. ResLife Office: Walter-- Pam received a NEW CHAIR for her office. i. M.S.G Crew Representative i. 11/4: Thanksgiving Potluck, 6pm-12am, Anika s House-- attend if you can! Dress Nicely! 7. Executive Board Reports a. President i. Talita s Mandatory Workshop: November 9 th Time: TBA-- Suicide Prevention (Thursday) ii. Food Committee Meeting Updates-- Get updates and dates to you as soon as possible. Doodle was created. Maroon Madness: Get hyped for the event! Balloon Arch: if anyone is around to help please assist. Please wear Maroon! b. Vice President i. New York Times: Total: September and October-- Anne Collins Vice President of Molloy Student Government motions 630 dollars for New york Times from the MSG budget 2nd: Joe Thomas -- motion passes! ii. High School Conversation : Dr. Bogner brought up communicated with high schools-- wanted us to reach out to teachers and explaining your college experience. End of year performer: Dallas Smith would be 20,000 so that is a no go. Homecoming: Try to collect Alumni names and have them help with fundraising. 12pm-3pm is time of our table so help us out. c. New Business-- Mollie Mae opportunity-- Money to help her and her room. Also needs candy donations!fun for little kids during the day! Music Therapy Club has Survior Night at 6pm in Hays Theatre. Anime Club is hosting Zombie Fest out on the Public Square Lawn.
