1 Rally 17th December Outback Jack s Voucher McIvor Road Bendigo Vic I am starting to dread having to choose the member of the month, because it is extremely difficult when so many members demonstrate such out standing qualities. I often leave it to the last minute, with Debbie constantly phoning to know who the member is to publish the Newsletter.. This month I have chosen Tarah Youngson. A few rallies ago Hilary was riding Destiny, she was a little nervous with her group taking part in a games lesson. Tarah was overheard telling Hilary not to worry, she was happy to ride along side her, she offered words of encouragement, with both girls leaving their lesson happy. Watching out for each other is extremely important in a club, because we don't always have our parents or leaders around to do this. Tarah also displayed good sportsmanship, when after being placed in a flat team, had to be taken out when Sally had different ideas. Well done Tarah, your thoughtfulness towards others, has won you the December $10 voucher from OutBack Jacks. State Polocrosse Tentative Date for State Polocrosse Final is the 7th October Preferred venue is Moorooduc. Melissa & Chloe Aldenhoven rode in the V.E.R.A. Great Western endurance ride on the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd of December. They both rode in the 40km Training ride and completed the ride and passed the vet check. Well done to you both. As our Club is running a VERA & PC endurance ride next year in July, we spent the weekend checking out what is required to hold a successful event. And wow, how we learnt, (I didn t think I had taken enough Panadol at the start,) but by the end of the day, with lots of great people to talk to and help us, we have concluded that we can do this, and we can do it well!. But we will need a great Volunteer crew, (to man checkpoints, pencil, canteen etc.) The VERA rides are huge, with riders from all over Victoria, NSW & SA. Competing. A Very big Thankyou to Dianne from Underwood pastoral in Carisbrook for providing us with the Christmas presents for our Christmas Rally today.
