Je Bike Auckland are an imprtant cnduit fr and are listened t very clsely. As per decisins taken by management, they shuld be part f the apprval grup. BA engage with AC, NZTA and with Lcal Bards as well as and are there t prmte and help reslve issues. They are an imprtant barmeter f cycling matters are represent all cycling interests. Paint has been enhanced arund cmmunity centre and n-site it seems be wrking, drivers respecting. Drainage sme ptential slutins arund the liqur stre. We culd use drain t cllect water. Discussing with business wners. Mthers Day identified as a busy time, s will avid wrk ver this time. G ahead f wrk subject t agreement frm all affected retailers. Near Ray White culd lk at a fix after Mthers Day. Businesses nt keen n repeat cnstructin and are relaxed abut this issue as it is nt custmer facing. Will d ultimate slutin nce rather than a temprary fix. Preference is t rather delay the wrks and wait fr the final slutin and fix it nce nly. Peel St rundabut pthles difficult t investigate because traffic cntrl required. Chris C Beca has cmpleted an evaluatin f all intersectins, we knw what utcmes we need t achieve in that area. 4. Bus stps - Lewis Thrwaldsn (MR Cagney) Review f bus stps and rutes cmpleted. There are currently tw bus rutes, the 020 and 020X. 020X is mre direct int the city. In the new netwrk, thse will becme the 105, same alignment thrugh the study area, then mre direct int the city frm Pnsnby Rad. Surrey Crescent /Richmnd Rad (tw stps) issues: Spacing f stps. Balance between walking access and rapid service. 400m is a gd balance. Currently there is an imbalance in the citybund directin. Fr bus stps acting as a pair, the best practice is t keep clse tgether, making the service easy t understand fr users. Suggest relcating frm Surrey Crescent stp t between Fishertn Street and Surrey Crescent fr the city bund service. Westmere-bund service stays as is n Richmnd Rad. Shelter t be maintained fr relcated stp. In-line stp likely required t design arund existing trees and driveways. West Lynn twn centre The Stp in frnt f Sistra is 450m away frm the previus stp and 270m t the next, creating an imbalance in walk up distances. Illegal parking in the bus stps was nted. Affects accessibility, as the bus can t pull in t the kerb. Nt huge red flags but recmmendatins: Relcate the bus stp frm utside the dairy t Baby n the Mve. 5 Minutes f Meeting A high level f service will encurage ridership, bus shelters imprtant. If shelters can be prvided at new lcatins, mve the bus stps. If nt, the recmmendatin is t leave as is. Stp relcatin recmmendatins are nt dependent n each ther, i.e., ne can still mve if the ther cannt. Recmmend reassigning bus stps as bundary zne verlap stps, t reduce the fare fr passengers traveling frm Westmere. Nte all stps t be in line and nt indented which permits better bus pull ff in traffic and fewer delays, and reduce impact n surrunding parking.
