1 ELLERSLIE AFC OPERATIONAL PLAN (Game Develpment and Ftball Success) Ellerslie AFC has a reputatin thrughut the Auckland ftball cmmunity as a family-friendly club that prvides an enjyable and rewarding ftball experience fr junirs and senirs alike. Ellerslie AFC have recently cmpleted wrk n a draft Strategic Plan that dcuments the strategic directin f the Club acrss a number f key areas. The Strategic Plan will prvide the directin and fcus fr the rganisatin t deliver ftball t the lcal cmmunity. The plan includes the fllwing Objectives with respect t Game Develpment and Ftball Success: Prvide a seamless develpment pathway fr all club persnnel t excel; Prvide pprtunities fr all players whether scial r cmpetitive; and High quality ftball cmpetitive playing pprtunities and structures. This peratinal plan identifies the key areas within the Game Develpment and Ftball Success sectin that the Club will fcus n ver the next perid f 8 mnths thrugh t the cmmencement f the 2018 seasn. This peratinal plan is a wrking dcument fr the Executive Cmmittee and subcmmittees and will be used t infrm the Club s members f the Club s pririties thrughut this perid. The peratinal plan will be reviewed at a minimum every 12 mnths. As at June 2017, Ellerslie AFC cmprised f the fllwing: Junir teams 83 teams (5 th 12 th grade) - 31 bys teams (9 th -12 th grade) - 8 all girls teams (9 th 12 th grade) Yuth teams 18 teams (13 th t 17 th grade) - 12 bys teams - 6 all girls teams Senir teams - 22 teams - 17 men s teams including the NRFL Divisin 1 Men s 1 st team - 5 wmen s teams including the NRFL Cnference Wmen s 1 st team Ellerslie AFC s ttal membership is 2740 cmprised f 1504 players, 48 administratrs and 1188 parents and guardians. The Club is in a grwth phase and this is expected t cntinue in the freseeable future. The Club is currently wrking t ensure that it prvides its members sufficient quality facilities and services t manage this grwth and cntinue t prvide everyne an enjyable experience.

Premier teams success Opprtunities fr talented players After reviewing the current situatin and the available resurce within the club it was decided that the pririty fr the next 8 10 mnths wuld be in the fllwing areas: Cach develpment Player develpment Girls and Wmen s ftball develpment The fllwing sectins f the peratinal plan detail the and Initial Tasks that will be undertaken t prgress the plan and achieve the bjectives within the Strategic Plan.

3 Cach Develpment (T develp a caching framewrk that will recruit, retain, develp and reward caches) Ellerslie AFC firmly believes that the develpment f caches is essential t the imprvement in the develpment f ur players and t the future success f all teams thrughut the club. The lng term bjective is t identify and develp enugh qualified caches t cver the Club s entire caching requirements. This will ensure the Club is seen as an rganisatin delivering a quality experience and will assist with player retentin. The Club is cmmitted t implementing an envirnment where caches are prvided the tls they require t imprve, have the pprtunity t develp and feel supprted by the Club. Currently the Club has 7 caches that hld NZ Ftball caching qualificatins ranging frm Yuth Level 3 t AFC B License. There are a number f ther caches that have cmmenced the prcess f gaining Junir and Yuth level qualificatins. By the start f 2020 there will be an increase f 200% in the number f caches hlding a NZ Ftball caching qualificatin By the start f 2020 all caches f Metr teams will hld the NZ Ftball Yuth Level 3 qualificatin r higher and all caches f Cnference teams will hld the NZ Ftball Yuth Level 2 qualificatin r higher By the start f 2020 all caches will be prvided a full seasn f age-apprpriate caching material relevant t their grade Operatinal Targets By the start f 2018 there will be an increase f fur in the number f caches hlding a NZ Ftball caching qualificatin By the start f 2018 fur caches f Metr teams will hld the NZ Ftball Yuth Level 3 qualificatin r higher By the start f 2018 all caches f 5 th t 8 th grades will be prvided a full seasn f ageapprpriate caching material relevant t their grade Designing and implementing a Cach Develpment Prgramme that will identify caches and prepare them fr their next level f caching qualificatin Wrking with Auckland Ftball Federatin (AFF) and NZ Ftball t enrl caches in the apprpriate curses Reviewing the Clubs caching structures and adapting if necessary Researching and agreeing caching material and designing age grade caching material

4 Player Develpment (T develp and cmmunicate pathways that allw all players t prgress as far as pssible) Ellerslie AFC is ne f the largest clubs by player membership in AFF. The Club has xxx teams that play at all levels within bth in-huse and AFF cmpetitin structures frm the 5 th grade thrugh t the senir teams. The Clubs premier men s team currently plays in the NRFL Divisin 1 cmpetitin with the Clubs premier wmen s team in the AFF/NFF Cnference cmpetitin. It is a key strategy f the Club that all players are cmmunicated and understand the playing pathways frm their first invlvement thrugh t the time they decide t leave the Club. The club aims t prvide all players with the level f caching, training and apprpriate cmpetitin level that allws them t prgress as far as they are able. The Club is cmmitted t develping its prgrams t align and supprt NZ Ftball s Lng Term Player Develpment (LTPD) framewrk. 5 Girls and Wmen s Develpment (T cntinue t enhance the develpment f the Girls and Wmen s sectin f the club) Ellerslie AFC is seen as having ne f the best prgrammes fr girls and wmen s ftball within AFF. The Club has dne a very gd jb in attracting and retaining female players in recent years and is fcused n maintaining the grwth in this area f the Club. Implementing girls nly teams and attracting yung female players t cach junir female teams are tw examples f the types f initiatives that have wrked well fr the Club. Currently female players accunt fr apprximately 20% f the Clubs membership and this presents gd pprtunities fr grwth. While girls and wmen s ftball is nt seen as a separate entity and is managed alng with the rest f the Clubs prgrammes it is imprtant t keep a fcus n this area t ensure that the Club caters fr the special requirements fr female players.
