The RWPA helps make sure the city is actively prmting the city, its wrkfrce, develpment pprtunities and the quality f the cmmunity t key audiences thrughut the regin. What is the Red Wing Prt Authrity? The Red Wing Prt Authrity is the part f city gvernment respnsible fr managing business activity alng the Mississippi River, as well as helping lead business and cmmercial develpment thrughut the city. Its missin is t help Red Wing create new ecnmic pprtunities and gd paying jbs that benefit the entire cmmunity thrugh industrial and cmmercial develpment. What des the RWPA d? The Red Wing Prt Authrity leads the ecnmic and industrial develpment effrts fr the City f Red Wing by bringing public and private sectr resurces and partners tgether t fund and advance key prjects. The RWPA makes sure the city is able t create the greatest cmmunity impact and benefit frm any public investment in the develpment f cmplex and imprtant prjects. RWPA' s structure gives it the ability t bring the resurces and expertise tgether t help finance prjects. It is an effective resurce fr the city t find ways t clean up, redevelp, and prtect industrial sites fr future private sectr use. Why is develpment imprtant t Red Wing. Red Wing, like many ther cmmunities, has the nging challenge f making sure the city can cntinue t nt nly keep the jbs and cmpanies already here, but t make sure the city can cntinue t attract new cmpanies, jbs, and investment.
