4 2. Executive summary 2.1 Key findings Schl leaders are cmmitted t imprving student utcmes fr all students. The schl Annual Implementatin plan (AIP) utlines fur key pririties. Within each f these are a number f further actins fr implementatin. Teachers are nt cnfident in articulating the pririties. A cmprehensive whle-schl data plan is established which clearly utlines key data cllectin timelines and apprpriate data surces. Schl decisins, interventins and initiatives in respnse t data are nt in alignment at this stage. The schl prjects a psitive culture with a supprtive, rderly learning envirnment and respectful relatinships between staff members, students and cmmunity The senir leadership team believes that the high achieving culture can be further enhanced. The schl applies its resurces in a manner t meet the learning and wellbeing needs f students. The schl budget is develped by the Business Service Manager (BSM), the principal and cst managers. The principal and ther schl leaders place emphasis n attracting high quality teachers. The schl leadership team prvides a brad range f pprtunities t develp teacher capability t imprve student utcmes. It is nt yet apparent that all Prfessinal Develpment (PD) prgrams are directly fcused n the identified pririty prgrams in place t imprve student learning. Dcumented plans exist within each department based n state requirements and the Australian Curriculum (AC). The schl has recently develped cmmn unit plan and task sheet templates which align with the AC and the schl fcus n assessment literacies. A clearly dcumented whle-schl plan fr curriculum delivery and a cycle f review is nt yet develped. There is a strng belief acrss the schl that all students are capable f learning. The schl s pedaggical framewrk des nt yet prvide teachers with a cmmn language t prvide a cnsistent platfrm fr student learning. 4

5 The schl's leadership team recgnises that the delivery f quality teaching practices is critical t maintaining high standards f academic achievement acrss the schl. Dimensins f Teaching and Learning (DTL) has been the designated pedaggical framewrk fr the schl ver the last few years. It is apparent that the utilisatin f the pedaggical framewrk t implement effective and cmmn teaching practice is nt vigrus. An pprtunity exists t regularly refresh learning regarding the framewrk and t induct teachers new t the schl. The schl has develped a psitive standing in the cmmunity thrugh the wrk and invlvement f parents, schl leaders, staff members and students. Deliberate and strategic use is made f a wide range f business and cmmunity partnerships t access additinal resurces nt available within the schl fr the purpse f imprving student utcmes. 2.2 Key imprvement strategies Implement an imprvement agenda which is adpted by all staff members and prgresses the schl s culture f high achievement. Narrw and sharpen the AIP and determine the pririties fr an imprvement agenda based n a thrugh and cllabrative investigatin f the schl data in the junir and senir schls. Develp prcesses and structures t engage teachers in cllabrative curriculum discussins, planning and mderatin acrss year levels and departments thrugh the develpment f a whle-schl plan fr curriculum and a cycle f review. Review the effectiveness and relevance f the implementatin f the current pedaggical framewrk fr the schl. Review the strategy fr prgrams t build teacher capability t ensure it is directly aligned with the key identified pririties f the Explicit Imprvement Agenda (EIA). Implement a mre cnsistent structure t ensure systematic data reflectin acrss the whle-schl via line managers. 5
