4 2. Executive summary 2.1 Key findings The schl has develped in cllabratin with the schl cmmunity a shared visin statement. The schl is cmmitted t prviding highly individualised curriculum, cllecting and analysing data that tracks individual achievement, valuing each student as an individual and prviding a safe and secure learning envirnment. A clear, narrw Explicit Imprvement Agenda (EIA) aligned t actins, timelines and mnitring strategies is yet t be develped and cmmunicated t the whle schl cmmunity. The schl has develped a teaching and learning framewrk t guide teacher planning and prcesses in curriculum. The schl has a strng emphasis n individualised learning and prgrams. Staff members are familiar with the schl curriculum expectatins and wrk within this framewrk. A sequenced plan fr curriculum delivery aligned t the Australian Curriculum (AC) acrss all mandated learning areas is yet t be develped and enacted. Teachers express that they value feedback. Schl leaders are prviding feedback in caching sessins that ccur external t the classrm. Teachers seek feedback and supprt frm their peers, mentr and sectr crdinatrs. Teachers state they wuld appreciate direct bservatin and feedback frm the leadership team. An instructinal leadership prgram including classrm mdelling, caching and feedback is yet t be embedded in the schl. Sectr crdinatrs lead teams f teachers t plan units f wrk nce per term. Teachers have, as yet, limited pprtunities t cllabrate and share practice. Cllabrative prcesses fr teachers t share practice and visit each ther s classrms are yet t be develped. The schl s respnsible behaviur plan uses chice thery as an verarching behaviural apprach. Sme staff members reprt that they are largely respnsible fr devising their wn behaviur management systems fr their students and classrms. Staff members state they wuld appreciate hands-n, practical strategies t deal with the grwing and changing student ppulatin, particularly in the junir schl. 4

5 The leadership team views reliable and timely data as essential t the effective leadership f the schl. Teacher and schl develped checklists are in place t supprt prgram delivery and student achievement. Teachers demnstrate the utilisatin f a range f diagnstic assessments t infrm starting pints fr learning and t mnitr student learning. A regular schedule f prfessinal learning t develp teachers skills in the analysis and use f data is yet t be develped. 2.2 Key imprvement strategies Cllabratively develp and cmmunicate the new schl strategic plan t drive schl imprvement and include targets, timelines and mnitring strategies. Develp a whle f schl curriculum plan aligned t the delivery f the mandated AC t enable the develpment and tracking f units, align assessment and mderatin prcesses and enable resurce sharing. Develp and implement schl-wide systems fr all schl leaders t prvide teachers with regular detailed feedback n their pedaggical practices aligned t the schl s imprvement agenda. Build a culture f cllabrative practice including regular pprtunities fr teachers t meet t develp curriculum and share pedaggical practice. Cllabratively review the schl s respnsible behaviur plan t ensure that it is supprting staff members t meet the needs f the changing student ppulatin.
