4 2. Executive summary 2.1 Key findings The schl has a cmprehensive whle schl curriculum plan which has been develped with reference t the Australian Curriculum and Curriculum int the Classrm (C2C). The curriculum plan aligns with the schl s pedaggy, assessment and reprting structures. An explicit schl imprvement agenda is evident and is knwn by mst staff. The schl has develped an explicit schl imprvement agenda, linked t the pedaggical framewrk, with a fcus n reading and numeracy thrugh data, differentiatin and prfessinal learning cmmunities. Sme staff indicated that the pririties are brad. A structured framewrk fr instructinal leadership has been frmulated this year. The framewrk espuses varius leaders wrking tgether acrss the schl t imprve pedaggical practices and student utcmes. Rles are articulated, but respnsibilities arund sme aspects such as line management, expectatins, accuntability and instructinal leadership are nt explicit. The develpment f prfessinal learning teams is evident. The prfessinal learning teams enhance cllegiality, team wrk and a whle schl shared respnsibility fr imprving student utcmes. This is increasingly gaining acceptance within the schl as an effective methd f develping staff capacity. A cmprehensive inductin prgram is clearly evident. The schl has nineteen new teachers this year and staff interviewed stated that the inductin prcess and the nging supprt prvided is effective and appreciated. There is evidence f gains in academic achievement. Staff are hardwrking and cmmitted t imprving student utcmes which has resulted in imprved academic utcmes in sme areas. Schl Wide Psitive Behaviur Supprt (SWPBS) plicy and prcedures are implemented. The SWPBS prgram explicitly sets ut expected behaviurs in all areas f the schl. There is a fcus behaviur drawn frm data n OneSchl that is explicitly taught in all classrms each week. Sme staff indicated incnsistency in the applicatin f the schl-wide behaviur management prcess. 4

5 There is a frmalised apprach t data cllectin and analysis. Schl staff are cmmitted t the schl-wide analysis and discussin f cllected data n student utcmes, including academic, attendance and behaviural utcmes. 5
